I have 692 mounts, which is insane. I started collecting more seriously back in Legion. I grabbed racial mounts, 100% drops first and then started farming mounts through legacy cheevs. From there, I've tried to keep pretty current by grabbing rep-based mounts and other local mounts.

Back in Vanilla it was a task in getting gold. Remember there were no daily quests. And buying your epic mount was a hefty 800 gold each. And the mounts were not account-wide nor were they in a list. So say if you started a tauren druid, bought an epic kodo then start a new tauren warrior that epic kodo would have to be purchased again. When you bought a mount back in the day it would take one spot of your inventory bags. So the account-wide changes made a lot of difference.

There used to be a Winterspring quest for a winter frost saber? I remember having to grind a massive amount of materials to get the vendor to talk to me so I could get one!

This quest was still active 7 months ago, though it seems you have to gather less mats than in Vanilla 🎉

Quick tip if you want to do the rep. Get the tabard for that faction and do dungeons that drop mounts.

thanks so much! haha, i wouldnt say priest is my favorite class but i do enjoy them! I have a lot of characters and definitely have multiple hunters, druids, pallys, mages, rogues..etc! I'd say i have 2-3 of each roughly

There are a few more alliance mounts over in wetlands at whats left of the village there. I didn't need any rep to buy them. Thanks though. There were a few places I didn't know about, and can get more mounts now.

Are you getting rep for all factions because of the 20th Anniversary Event? Maybe that's why it's changed? I think there's a buff for it up top. I guess it's only possible to check in January when the event is over. :)

it could be possible! the buff itself just says 10% increase to rep and experience but who knows if maybe theres more to it than that! will definitely have to find out once the event is over haha

Time for my stupid question of the day…are mounts transferable between Horde and Alliance with Warband? Just returning to the game from WOTLK days so not familiar with a lot of current features.

@bondiablo4267 not a stupid question 💜 so mounts are account wide now. They all just go into your collections menu (shift P to pull it up, then the mounts tab) The only thing is that you can't ride certain mounts. Like if you're on a horde character you can't ride the alliance specific mounts like rams, elekks, night sabers etc Or you can't ride a warlock specific mount Other than that yep you'll have access to your entire collection on any character
