Lol just do it throw on some music and get down to business. The main motivator with detailing is having the right tools. For me when I was new I didn't like it cause I knew I could never achieve the clean level that these guys achieve without having the tools they did. But little by little you start collecting. Couple $100 orders on amazon and I love detailing 😂😅.

Wall hanging the carpet and mats when scrubbing and cleaning makes it much easier on the body. I also noticed when pressure washing on hanging method the dirty water and debris flows down and not puddle into another section of fabric.

Not sure if you've tried this or not but if you have a surface cleaner for your pressure washer (they are great for when you are cleaning concrete..) it works amazing on carpets!!! I sometimes dont even bother using the drill brush first! I spray on the soak and attach the surface cleaner and it kinda does it all in one! saves a ton of time too! I had a huge area rug to clean and tried it, it worked wonderful so I started using it on my floor mats too (I dont have a business but with 8 kids, I'm constantly cleaning my own van!)

My wife and I test drove a few Sienna and noted how the light grey was dirty in all of them. As a Stauffer viewer I should have been up to the challenge of cleaning them, but as a Dad I decided to go for leather seats so I only have to scrub the carpet and clean/condition the seats. We just bought our van this week, perfect timing with your video. Another great cleaning video! Looks amazing!
@byte51264 жыл бұрын
For anyone wondering how cars end up like this: I never thought i would let my car get dirty. But since i moved to a city and have to park about 600m (2000ft) away from were i live, i'm starting to understand. the only way to get big trash items out of my car, without illegally dumping them in someones dumpster, is to carry all of it to my flat. I have absolutely no way to vacuum the car, except for those vacuums at gas stations, which takes approx two hours out of my day (unless i want to illegally park across the house my flat is in and lay an extension cable from the third floor and across the street). Now just imagine a couple with fulltime jobs each and having a couple kids, and voila: My car would look the same, if not worse.
@nessagonz34 жыл бұрын
There's trashcans at gas stations (which is where I empty my trash, all while my gas is pumping.. Killing two birds with one stone that way no time is lost) or you could leave a plastic bag in the car as a trash can...there's also tons of car trashcans on amazon. As for vacuuming, take it to a carwash and let them do it or go on your spare time or day off. All full-time working parents have at least one day off to do that. There's no excuse for this, it's just being lazy and neglectful of your possessions.

Gotta give you a big thanks for these vids, I do a lot of detailing work for family, friends, and occasional clientele and I feel like I’ve learned so much resultantly. One thing I can say I’d recommend with pressure washing the carpet, is that if you can find a way to hang it up against a wall, it saves you the effort of tediously re-washing the same spots because the dirty water moved over

James, 2 things; 1: There are better tools for doing large carpet areas, including the carpet squeegee. Have you contacted a carpet cleaning business to see what kind of tools they use? i would recommend Advanced Cleaning Systems. They have a KZbin channel and are pretty friendly. 2: You have a look alike (At least i think you do) in drummer Vladislav Ulasevich from the band Jinjer. He could pass as your brother or cousin.

I love watching these videos, as it gives me inspiration that cars can actually be properly cleaned when a little effort is put into them. I've been buying tools and machines cheap through a local auction and I'm trying to keep our Odyssey as clean as I can, though it's spent the past month doing duty as a pickup truck while we've been moving from one house to another. But I'll definitely be doing a deep clean on it when all the fun and games with that are over. I have to wonder how far people come to have you clean out their car? I live on the other side of PA (Not far from NJ) and while I'd love to do a road trip I'd say it's probably far more prudent to go check out the dude here in town that just built a brand new detailing shop. On another note, and I'll understand if you remove this comment after reading this, but I hope you and your wife and family are doing well, and finding some happiness and healing again after all that's gone in in the past few months. I don't know all of what happened (and it's largely none of my business anyways) but I did see the one news story and from what I see, you and Myka absolutely did right by that kid. Sometimes some people just require more attention and care than some people are able to give. Keep on doing what you're doing, and I'll keep watching. Okay, maybe not the maggot video. We had a bad experience with those things recently ourselves and I do not want to see them in a car. Cheers.

The roof lining, seats and carpet are what makes up the biggest component of "interior" - it is what we are literally wrapped in - and they have a huge potential for holding dirt and dust.
