This is my complete guide to mewing. I know this video is long, but it's important to understand ALL of the elements of tongue posture. The reality is, a lot of people oversimplify mewing and improving your tongue posture.
This video is what I have learned over the years through trial and error and the research I have done. I also have received mentorship from a seasoned orthodontist named Dr. Roland Estrabillio who has practiced improving tongue posture for several years. He has agreed to be featured in upcoming videos to provide more in depth knowledge.
I have learned that it can be quite complicated to correct habits that you have had your entire life. Focusing on improving both the functions and posture of your tongue is the most important.
The 3 elements to posture I talk about in this video are:
1. Resting tongue posture
2. Lip seal
3. Body Posture
The 3 functions I discuss are
1. Swallowing
2. Chewing
3. Speaking

@firebirb6726
@firebirb6726 4 жыл бұрын
This is due to that psychological affect (the experiment that pavlov did with dogs and food) Because you make that movement when you're anxious, your body associates it with anxiety, the more you practise doing it when you are not anxious, the less your brain should associate it, and the calmer you should get doing it. It will take a long time practising though

Hey hey! Don’t get all down on yourself luv. If you don’t like the way you look: change it! There are these things called subliminals where if you listen to them they can give you whatever you desire. Basically they are affirmations hidden behind music that go directly into your subconscious and tell your brain you have/are whatever you are trying to manifest. It sounds crazy and stupid at first but trust me, it works. For example, look up: Angelic, strong bone structure subliminal and you will see many subliminal videos of that thing. Of course there are many other things you can get through listening to subliminals. You may have to listen to it on loop during the day or while you sleep, whichever is convenient for you, for a week or a month or however long until you start seeing results! Everyone is different so you may see results slower or faster than others. But your subconscious definitely picks up every little detail of the subliminal you are listening to. I would watch videos further explaining how it works to really understand subliminals. Hope this helped! Cheers. 😍✨❤️😊

Life in general is suffering with a few ups and downs. Doesn't mean you can't be happy but happiness is temporary. Only by achieving something and having a purpose happiness is generated. I learned that from a book. Anyways i have been on and off on these mewing videos. What i am struggling to do is moving the back part of my tongue to the pallet. It seems impossible to me to do. I think i have a pretty good face already but my jawline isn't strong. Definitely want to try to get this down to improve my facial features but I'm struggling with the placement of the back of the tongue onto the pallet.

For anyone out there- this shit works. I found tongue posture out when I was like in grade 9, and I'm in grade 10 and I'd say my jaw has come foreward like ~3 centimeters. Might not seem like a lot but it's a lot seeming that I didn't do it much!!! As well, get one of those anti mouth breathing chin straps for sleeping- trains you to not mouth breathe. Use it when your brain forgets or after sicknesses 💞 goodluck everyone and know you are valid, you are enough, nd only do this stuff for you!!! Not for your boyfriend or girlfriend, or society, but for you!!! Have a great day!

You're really helping me with this. I was always afraid this would be how my face looked no matter how much weight I would lose (normal type body, but my chinfat stays chubby/hanging). I realise I have absolutely no control over my tongue, swallowing or breathing (I've been stuttering since I was 6, 26 now, have seen a speech therapist for it when I was little). Doing these things all wrong literally makes me tired all day and I would love it to get rid of it someday. Will be practisising your tips from now on, hopefully it will get me somewhere. Massive thanks 🙏

5:07 A proper swallow is approximately 17-19cm in length , has a wingspan of around 32-35cm and a weight of roughly 16-25g. That's regarding the European Swallow, of course. If we're talking about the African Swallow, its an entirely different story.

I just found your channel. I am twenty seven and I have slight symptoms of mouth breathing. I started learning about mewing through learning how to breathe better because I'm congested. This channel is awesome and is helping improve my life so much. I really have a hard time understanding why this is not taught in school. Thank God I found this while my son is still young. Thank you so much for being so open about your journey with this.

Lip seal creates a natural suction inside the mouth so your tongue naturaly touches up .Is actually hard to keep your tongue down when you have your mouth closed .So the most important thing i think is to create the habit of keeping your mouth close and then tongue follows up .Good video bro .

I hate to break it to you but You also have to practice mewing, your facial bones are like mine. Unfortunately, I still remember when I was a kid, mom and my aunties used ro tell me," hey close your mouth because death is wandering around" we use this expressions to scare children so that they do not breathe through their mouths. but I didn't listen! When I was a teenager I had a short vision issue, even when I sit in the front table in classroom, I couldn't see what is written in the board, But again unfortunately, At that age I was ashamed of wearing glasses, so I kept the secret to myself until I damaged my eyes even more. Now I am 35 years ol, my vision is very very short and my chin is backward. And I do not have a beard because I started smoking at an early age. and I know that it is all because of my decisions.

Why no one ever told me that tongue resting posture and swallowing is that important? I got it all wrong and I'm ugly. And worst of all, my little sister has always her mouth open even though my parents and I always tell her to close it (she hasn't any breathing problems) I'm afraid she'll get ugly too, I can actually see some changes on her face from old photos and her lower lip got much bigger. I'm actually crying rn has anybody got any advice how to get her to close her mouth? She is 8 and just won't listen.

the worst part about all this is the only thing I haven't been doing for the past few years is hard mewing. chewing swallowing speaking posture etc all fine, braces helped and so does a retainer, I also grind my teeth so I've always worn one for comfort however, that hard press of your tongue to the roof of your mouth.. SO IMPORTANT!! It's important to follow all steps but REMEMBER THIS ONE! Allow your tongue to rest at the bottom of your mouth and it can lead to snoring while sleeping, and eventually sleep apnea!
