Hallo from Denmark again. I finally got this from start to finish . Great video. It also around the of midas. That Greeks and assyrians meet each other in direct contact . An Assyrian king forced the the greek and phonecian city states of cyprus to be vasal states. Also greek pirates from anatolia started to raid the coastline of the Assyrian empire. Their tactics made Assyrian employ eveet greek pirate they csptured as mercenaries in the Assyrian army. And other greeks captured were made slaves. Its known that Greek slaves were used a forcef labor in the Assyrian capital. During the babylonian revolt against the Assyrians in 626. Both the Babylonians and the Assyrians had greek soldiers in their armies. And after the Assyrian collapse. The neo-Babylonian empire hired greek mercenaries in their armies . So when the babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II conquered Jerusalem and destroyed the first jewish temple in 587 bce ... He had greeks in his army . So greeks were part of an event mentioned in the bible ... So Assyrians and greeks knew each other . And neo-Babylonian empire and greeks also knew about each others exsistence . But by of Nebuchadnezzar the second. Greek soldiers were hired mercenaries... So apart the greeks being part of Phrygias history.. Their rivals also knew them .

Phrygians were a cousin nation of the Greeks! 🇬🇷 Their language belonged to the Graeco-Phrygian language family and most Phrygian and Greek words were mutually intelligible! However, between the 19th and the first half of the 20th century Phrygian was mostly considered a satəm language, and thus closer to Armenian and Thracian, while today it is commonly considered to be a centum language and thus closer to Greek.[20] CITATION [20] Obrador-Cursach, Bartomeu (2018). Lexicon of the Phrygian Inscriptions Phrygians spoke the Phrygian language, a member of the Indo-European linguistic family. Modern consensus regards Greek as its closest relative.[10][11] CITATION [10] Woodhouse, Robert (2009). "An overview of research on Phrygian from the nineteenth century to the present day". Studia Linguistica Universitatis Iagellonicae Cracoviensis. "This question is of course only just separable from the question of which languages within Indo-European are most closely related to Phrygian, which has also been hotly debated. A turning point in this debate was Kortlandt's (1988) demonstration on the basis of shared sound changes that Thraco-Armenian had separated from Phrygian and other originally Balkan languages at an early stage. The consensus has now returned to regarding Greek as the closest relative." CITATION [11] Brixhe, Claude (2008). Woodard, Roger D. (ed.). The Ancient Languages of Asia Minor. @Julius who is saying all these thracians didn’t have polis cities they were agticultural people in villages maybe you confuse Thracian’s with scythians The elefsinjan mysteries comes from thracians the word θρησκεία which is still in use in Greek comes from Θράκη Thrace The kavirians in the ancient texts you read positive and negative from Greeks from cities for the thracians as you read the same for Greeks of other cities war and conflicts were not rare Thracians phrygians even illyrians belongs to the Greek cosmos Since the mythological times Son of god aris and alkistis I think or mars in Latin used to be the thrax Son of kadmos and armonia used to be Illyrios The Greeks from cities consider them as inferiors because they didn’t have cities that’s all
