Thanks sooooo much for this video, I'm a new 2015 R3 owner bought late last summer so didn't get much riding done because I didn't have all the right riding gear like full leather. So now that my gear is ready its time to mod out my bike. Thanks for the back tire details that you provided, I wanted a bigger tire and was told at the bike show in Toronto by someone from Yamaha that I should change to a size 150 for my back tire to achieve that look. So with your information will do the Bridgestone 140 that will give me the look you have going on!

You've done quit of bit on your bike! Love it! I got 124miles now on mine. I started venturing out with traffic this weekend...lol with work it's been hard to practice. But I'm feeling better now riding in traffic..lol

Thanks! congrats on the new R3! when you first start riding with cars around it can definitely make you nervous sometimes. my best advice is to keep an eye out in peoples driving behavior you'll soon realize if you haven't already lol that cars really don't see us. thanks! I definitely recommend both, but more on the R3 side if you're going to be doing more on the streets. The RC390 is of course "streetable" but it's more on the side of track days. Both are amazing first bikes, get the one that you personally like more

Love the look of your R3 impossible to beat! are the Driven-D bar ends only compatible if you have aftermarket Clip-ons? I heard that they may not fit on :(

I'm 6'1" I got the shogun no cut on mine too but with the hotbodies rearsets I don't hit my knee much, it kinda helps hold the bike when I'm stopped on a hill though lol

On you bike you have the fork preload adjusters. . . dose that kit come with the center red bolt or did you get that separately?

For the power commander, I noticed it does not have a pre-set tune option for the Akrapovic exhaust whereas it does for others. Did you have to pay a shop to tune it? I want the full m4 exhaust and am trying to figure out a good tuning option. Also, is your throttle tube from the older gen R6 or newer?

Yeah, I had mine tuned on a dyno. And yeah, my throttle tube is from the older r6

hey man love your videos and your bike. I just picked up a 2017 r3 for myself in the matte black and immediately started moding it out lol, and I say you have to own an r3 to understand why lol. I call it the ruckus of the starter bikes. I was thinking of getting those headlights but not with the dtr/turn signal lights. but what makes you say why you don't like them? anyways keep um the great vids check mine out if you want, its mostly on my pit bike lol

thanks! love the look of the new color scheme for the R3! in regards to the headlights, well the demon eye and halo ring went out. The middle triangle light went out, but i replaced it with a higher quality led. next step is to replace the demon eyes and halo ring. The main lights do still work, just sucks that the rest don't. I hate it when companies like that put crappy components that barely last, unimpressed with them

I never understand why people get a $5,000 beginner bike and try to make it fast putting $4,000 - $5,000 in mods. Could’ve bought a much better bike for $10,000 with far superior parts instead of cheap components. Same issue with the FZ-07 and FZ-09. $1400 more and you get a much better bike. Why get a 07 and throw all this money into flashing the ecu and getting a pipe to void the warranty. Keep the 09 stock and it’s still faster and more fun. With the warranty intact. Easy decision for me since I got the extended warranty for free. Safe to say I love my FZ-09.
