Really appreciate the content. As a completely new user to Adobe Animate I would have appreciated more of a concise and step by step breakdown to really develop a good understanding of what's happening. But it's still useful to me as a reference point to then search out more of an explanatory lesson from other sources too.

For sure. This is pretty advanced stuff. I got into it because I have such a fascination with the challenge! Next videos I'll try to cover more of the foundations leading up to this type of project

Thanks so much for the Tutorial. My question is do you reposition the Bicep and Arm Layers above the torso on the timeline when the character are in side view?
@RigTheory2 жыл бұрын
Good question! Yes, a few of those body parts will need to be moved above the torso fir different views. Bicep, arm and hand for sure.

me being a hobbyist and watching your lessons makes me wanna pursue this professionally. Ive always wanted to be an animator as a kid. do you have courses available online?
@RigTheory Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate that! I don't have a complete course- only tutorials and tips. If I made a course what would you like to see in it? What kinds of things would you NOT want to see?

@@RigTheory well tbh edapt is the first tool / plugin I got ever, thanks to you. in your other video you mentioned the scary fact of learning curves . I didnt want to have to pay and have to learn moho or toonboom(unless I get in a studio and theyre paying the bill). For your lessons, I would love to see a downloadable file that goes along with your video. Like creating and rigging puppets YOUR way. Youre so organized and methodical-you made the headaches of digital animation go away. I aspire to be as efficient as you.

Very good video, but how i use it in timeline? How i change the front to the side?
@RigTheory5 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. It's hard to explain over text, but I'm using nested timelines and many layers to go frame by frame to make the character appear to turn.

You could've saved yourself some time in Step#1 by using Distribute to Layers from the context menu.
@RigTheory Жыл бұрын
Totally. I was worried that the layers wouldn't be distributed in the same order each time I used it across the timeline. I'll try that next time because that would save a BUNCH of time. Thanks for suggesting that!

question, can i use these rigs to multiple model/artwork ? So all i need is preparing bunch of artwork. Also grey outline only for guide right ?

Yes, there are a couple of ways to do this. Here's one way kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbYooOda852i5I

Hmmm. I almost forgot! I will cover that in a separate vid, but I'll build on how that works in a multi view setup because it starts to get a little complicated

some of the features reffered to in your video are not in my version of adobe animate which make me wonder whether plug ins were added to the software. kindly assist
@RigTheory Жыл бұрын
Those features are available in the premium (paid) version of the plugin.

Are there any other free alternatives you can use instead of Adobe animate CC
@RigTheory16 күн бұрын
I can't recommend any free softwares because even as a hobbyist they'll frustrate you with their limits. Most animation programs have free trial periods and cr- er, 'special' versions that don't expire.

Where can I get the model sheet
@RigTheory11 ай бұрын
I meant to share this sooner. I bought the artwork from Adobe Stock. I did a search for "character sheet". The artist goes by the name, "Mindi" I believe. stock.adobe.com/search/images?filters%5Bcontent_type%3Azip_vector%5D=1&hide_panel=true&k=character+sheet&search_type=usertyped
