The thought process behind all this amazes me as much as the skill required to manufacture and assemble it. Killer project.

Thank you! It’s all a learning process for me but I love challenges and learning new skills. We have lots to come! Cheers

Here is something you should think about adding to the fuel tank... A fuel to coolant heat exchanger to pre warm the fuel to prevent gelling in the tank on those cold days... Another option is to glue 2 heating mats to the back or bottom of the fuel tank one operating dc voltage the other wall voltage for your area... Preheating the fuel will prevent gel up issues specifically during travel or cold weather also helps keep the injection pump properly lubed in the cold (gelling pulls the paraffin out of the fuel and the injection pump uses the paraffin as a lubricant)

Those are all great ideas and definitely something to keep in mind. However they actually add anti gelling agents right into our fuel. As long as we don’t use diesel bought in the summer time we don’t have gelling issues up here often. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@CenterLineDesigns I live up where they add those additives and we still get constant gelling issues... When you get sub zero °f temps or wind chills below zero even the additive fuel gels... The preheated fuel also aids in starting... If you go coolant heat exchanger you just need a liquid to liquid heat exchanger if you make a heat exchanger it's just basically a tube inside a tube you can also add an additional tube to heat other fluids like windshield washer fluid, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, etc. This exchanger is one of the best places to install an array of heaters it also can be used to keep everything from running too hot as well... My 93 dodge d350 with intercooled turbo diesel Cummins has one of these added on in addition to the factory fuel and intake preheaters, my heat exchanger includes coolant, transmission, power steering, fuel, and engine oil, and I have a 12v dc oil heater retrofitted into my differential oil cover as well. The truck has started everytime even at - 40°f

That is interesting because you just never hear of gelling issues up here anymore. I have equipment I run in the cold and know a variety of people with diesel trucks and equipment. Just don’t hear of it like you used to. But yea if it’s a problem you have definitely given me a bunch of ideas! Thanks!

@@CenterLineDesigns it's most common on anything with exposed fuel tanks (readily seen on a walk around)

I like your efficient and complimentary set of fabrication tools/processes. Your system is well balanced and flexible and enables real time enhancements. When you put some hours on the snow cat, do you expect that not using loctite will be a problem? What were the right spray mig settings on the grousers?

Thank you! I definitely put a lot of time into the process. What are you referring to as far as no loctite? I believe I was running 125A, -3 on the voltage setback and maybe 2 on the inductance. Not sure if all welders are the same for that. That’s just how this everlast is. Thanks again!

Love your videos!!!! What editing software do you use to compile all your footage? Are you recording and editing on your own? Very inspiring!

Thank you so much! I have been using wondershare Filmora for over a year and like it. Yes sir I do every part from the work in the shop videoing, editing, making thumbnails etc! I also work a full time job too 😂😂😂. It’s a ton of work but I like all the different processes from designing the rig to thinking about how to video something then telling the story when editing. It doesn’t always go well but I just keep trying lol! Cheers and thank you so much for the support!

Your wire looks pre-package in black sheathing. Did you buy it that way or assemble it yourself?
@CenterLineDesigns2 күн бұрын
I purchased it that way. It’s a control cable that can be bought in a wide variety of conductors. It had an armour sheath on it that I took off
