I can't tell you how much I love these video's. My husband was a builder/framer/finish carpenter for more than 40 years and every new build was so exciting to me how things came together. He taught our boys the trades and they chose different careers down the road but my husband Blaine always told them the only thing he had to give them was knowledge. Many times they wanted to quit but he wouldn't let them. We lost him to cancer in 2020, and today the boys are so proud he forced his knowledge upon them because as he knew, it has saved them thousands of dollars being able to build their own homes start to finish and anything else they choose to build. Watching you work and seeing your perfection in your work brings back great memories of him. He was highly respected for his quality of work and customers always were very pleased with finished product. He started way back when there were no nail guns, it was all manually nailed together. Then when they became available he got a loan and got set up. As you well know, his job became so much less labor intense and speedy. I know it's very hard work but he, like your crew thoroughly enjoyed it and was till the end strict on quality and building it to last. I just wanted to say thank you for making the video's, I just stumbled across them but I will be a steady viewer. It's almost like watching brings him back to life. He was 84 when he died and still had plans in his head for things to build when he felt better. I'm sure he's building mansions in heaven now. Thanks again for reviving pleasant memories.

My Wife is 65 been fighting Cancer since Dec 2021. After surgery, then 8 rounds of chemo. Then 18 rounds of Radiation, upper body. Followed by 18 rounds, lower body. Then a break, followed by 1 of 6 new chemo treatments. 2 days at the hospital followed by 2 days at home, with a nurse. Tommorrow, ends the first of 6 treatments. Told her she would live to be 90 today. She's a Tirger. I'm her Lion. Jesus was a Carpenter ❤❤❤

Your comment is a beautiful tribute to your guy, Blaine. He sounds amazing and a one-of-a-kind! I'm so sorry you lost him and that your heart is hurting. I enjoy watching the Perkins Bros Crew videos too! If you need to talk about him or about anything please consider reaching out to me. Take good care of yourself. ❤

I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. I used to love to watch "BARNWOOD BUILDERS". Your wit and humor cracks me up. I live alone now since I lost my husband, but we used to do everything together. We farmed, played with cars, boats, built things, cried auctions, traveled, and loved as full as life as a couple could, but God needed him more than me. So, now you are my entertainment, now. And I THANK YOU❗❗❗♥️

First time ever seeing any of your videos... Today was my intro...I was a US NAVY SEABEE...BUILDER TRADE, CARPENTER. Currently 63 yes old retired, I wanted to say that I watched the video before this one where the fella says NOC, at the intersection when the days were over..LOVE THAT HOME, beautiful work...absolutely beautiful...YOUR TEAM IS AWESOME, love seeing a contractor that still does 99% of the job and subs little out...OLD SCHOOL but all new skills... I JUST can't say how much I enjoy building in my head as I watch your guys do very very high end work...I live in NJ, no contractors do a complete job...It's all subbed and they are in and out, the painter, spacklers ,I will reserve thoughts.... I AM NOW going to watch your show and your construction frequently...Very nice how guys work together...HOPE THE MANS hand heals up nicely. That was a serious accident, stay strong, and as positive as you can!! You know your craft, you have a nice crew and your narrative is great 👍...glad I found your site... I am sick and I just enjoy living a bit through your videos..Cancer got me, it sucks!! Very professional..How ever Getz your product is getting a house built above and beyond standards...You guys are truly all caring builders...

You capture the business end of doing the job right with the human side of what it’s really like to work on a construction crew. People need to know that this is not just for the camera. It’s actually like this on site. Missed Jordan shots aimed at the dumpster 100 ft away, fixing mistakes, banter amongst the crew, who’s the best at, what knuckle head did this…, your videos have it all.

Hi, I have been binge watching for the last couple of days! Having been a Labourer on a building site back in 1964 as a young fella your work is fascinating to watch! Along with the scenery you work in its beautiful! All the crew you have are a pleasure to watch the camaraderie and good will shines through your brother with the missing digits how and when did he loose them? I’m viewing from the UK the North West GMC! As brothers working with your dad from a very young age your dad must be one proud fella that you have all carried on with the business? I wish you all safe doing what you do to proved for yourselves and family I also wish you prosperity in the coming future stay safe and look after each other fellas!!! Vacationing in BC with my family and ran into Erik at a pub this evening (I'm the landlord guy who joked that I'm happier to meet him than the President)... he kindly shared his time chatting about houses over a beer. That's what I love about KZbin, so many of the personalities are just regular folks making videos. Not the scripted garbage that is most TV now. These guys deserve all of the success that they've worked hard for. My 5 year old son loved the pic 😁

You guys show a lot of skill and comradery. I was born into a dual trade family, Masonry and Carpentry. I started going to work with my dad when I was about 5 his main focus was the Masonry side, but I did get both. It was nice watching a build that I never once caught them make a mistake. My biggest pet peeve with the DIYers is decks. When they don't notch the posts and set the beam on top and just side bolt with lags. I don't get too upset anymore, I just pray no one gets killed on their man made log splitters! I subscribed, keep it coming and be safe!

The tool for tying rebar together: It's called a pigtail and used commonly in Florida, where the floors are monolithic slabs, the walls are block with tie beams, ie, lots of concrete and steel. Everyone uses them on homes. Commercial applications use wheels and lineman pliers, but the steel is usually much heavier and more of it, requiring longer tie wires than just tying two pieces of steel together. Pigtails are fast, no doubt about it, but only for certain situations. Love your videos. I was a builder in CO and FL. You guys do everything. Impressive and great.

Im surprised that the code permits using 8” block on basement walls. Especially when they are that high, regardless of the bond beams and steel. As for the parging, get a good quality bristle dust brush, and when the mud takes a bit of a set dip the brush in water and go over the mud. It will do a surprisingly nice job, and also make it easier to apply foundation coating.

I Just discovered your Chanel 😮 and it is right down my alleyway, Why You ask? Been a Chipy (carpenter) in Australia for over 40 years, now retired in Croatia for the past 12 years and this, your job takes me back to my days, when there ware no trusses as such,so everything had to be hand cut and assembled and man handled in position. The only luxury I had was portable Geny, compressor and nail gun and that was in the seventies. Different times now,I suppose they keep up with times. Terminology is somewhat the same and does ring a bell 🛎️ but I had sometime the most three man gang and when the weather was bad I used to do the fix out internally, doors, architraves,😮 scertings and so on. Like the camaraderie you guys have, and it does reflect in your performance. Good luck and safe work.🙏🇭🇷❤️👍

When I retired, I agreed to supervise the build of Habitat homes. I sought the help of the local technical school trades instructor. I had renovated homes, but never built a home. I learned a lot over those six builds and with the help of many more talented volunteers and inspectors we built very good energy efficient and strong homes. We used 6 inch studs for better insulation. Watching your builds is gratifying as it reinforces the process and techniques we employed in our builds. Thanks for sharing as I am too old to do this any more.

This is a compilation of the entire frame in process of a job we did a couple years ago. It was about seven hours and footage cut down to the two hour version you’re watching! Took me about three months of work to get it done so I hope you enjoy

This was a treat and therapeutic to watch. I must watch the full version now! Always enjoy watching a build from scratch to finish. I'm in software and IT, but I dabble with woodworking. Got a little workshop in my garage. Not a cool or as grand as some of those KZbinrs, but it's enough to get my projects done. I've always enjoyed working with my hands. From working on cars, fixing things, building furniture, or electronics. Insta-subscribe!

It's great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan's kzbin.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.
