EA really needs to release these as a collection to modern consoles. Loved these games!

These are free on Emulators. Let's keep em where they are, because it's gonna end up like another Warcraft 3 or Streets of Rage.

Exactly! I'd definitely buy a collection with all six games.

No, we need people with a low budget and enormous love for the series, to slightly adapt what was done to modern computers. 16:9 format, 120FPS, zooming capabilities, smoother animations, and increased details, but without killing the game vibe and gameplay. That means excluding PSX games, for being less relevant.

Nice vid, I'm always glad to stumble across fans. It's weird, I've really always considered Desert to be the hardest of the 3 original 16-bit games. I always felt Urban skewed a bit easier. It's certainly the one we had the least time to tune, as most of the game was redone in the last couple of months of development. Nice to see you have an ISO of our unreleased Super Strike CD. It's a shame the SegaCD market cratered before we could ship that one. I've never seen the ISO floating around. Does it have the interviews John Manley and I did? BTW, the THQ "version" is a complete redo by me. I never liked how Nuclear played on the PSX, so I reworked everything for the N64, so it plays more like Jungle Strike than Soviet or Nuclear.
@HiddenGameRoom2 жыл бұрын
I will look but I don't think so.. I think the ISO just has the three games but i will look and get back to you

Tony Barnes! Huge thanks to you and the rest of the team for making the fantastic Strike games! Urban Strike was my introduction to the series. What's the story on that game then, with regards to development? It was definitely an easier game than Desert and Jungle.

I played through Desert Strike, Jungle Strike and Urban Strike recently. Never finished them in my youth so was nice to go back. For me Desert Strike was the most complete and polished game even though it was the first. I bought Soviet Strike but couldn't get into it. I didn't like the constant interruptions from Strike telling you what to do and I didn't think the graphics were very good.

Yes too this and right now! I hate, loathe, and detest EA. I wouldn't lose sleep if they collapsed and the ground in which the company stands be salted so that nothing shall ever grow in its place again. However, I would throw any amount of money at them for a Strike series compilation. I would love to see a complete sprite based remake of the first game.

Who's running EA, 5 game series and they don't remaster and reissue STRIKE for pc.
@HiddenGameRoom3 жыл бұрын
That's what I want to know!!!
@solidmage17203 жыл бұрын
They need to remaster all those games in one game but add more variety to it. Like expanded cutscenes and dialogue, better graphics, keep and improve the humor, and characterization. Just mainly they can do a trilogy of Desert, Jungle and Urban in one game if they can to like add multiplayer, and if they want to make a game to full six games, it can take place before Desert and after the latest one. I like that Tom Clancy film vibe the first three had.
@darkridearts2 жыл бұрын
It’s beneath them because they can’t think of a way to additionally monetize every second of gameplay

Desert Strike and Jungle Strike were included as part of the PSP's EA Replay and are the most "modern" versions of those games that you can play (as far as i'm aware). Soviet Strike and Nuclear Strike were released for the PS3 and Vita at least (also i just checked, there are no PS1 classics on PS4 - only PS2 classics, for some reason) on PSN in 2010 and 2009 respectfully. Don't think you can play Urban Strike outside of its' original releases (it's also the only one of these i haven't played or owned).
