Join us on one of the most beautiful high elevation trails of the world - Tour de Mont Blanc! This trail is around 170kms in total and it goes around the summit of Mont Blanc. It crosses France, Italy and Switzerland. It's one of the most challenging and highest trails we've done. TMB was a beautiful but at the same time challenging trail for us. The places the trail goes through are amazing. It was an absolute pleasure hiking through them and we enjoyed every step of it. This trail will be forever in our memory and we would love to go back to it in several years. What was your Tour du Mont Blanc like? Very beautiful video with focus on birds and bugs and big mountains. Maybe mid June is very early to start the tour (snow!). I plan to take poles with me for easier walking!

Thank you so much! It is a bit too early in June indeed because of snow. At the start of July would be much better. Trekking poles are definetely a must, we always take them from now on. Hope you have a nice TMB experience!

Wow, so much snow and so many waterfalls! It looked very different when I walked TMB in August. Very wise to turn back at Fenetre d'Arpette, it was quite dangerous up the top! Subscribed. Cheers - Andrew

That's interesting to know it was different for you, we thought it is not changing that much from June to August. Even though we would have preferred to hike it as you did in August because of more comfortable weather we realize that in every season there is something special about it. Fenetre d'Arpette was a huge disappointment at that time as we didn't expect it to be that dangerous and we still can't figure out how some people were able to get over it. It was a nice lesson for us though. Thanks for your feedback and welcome to our channel! Hope you like it here:)

@@WalkingNatureWorld Enjoying your content, it's always nice to find a new channel to follow! My first plan was to hike it in June too, but I had to rearrange it because of covid. I had a lot of thunderstorms and some very hot days too! I made a video of my trip too, you can see how different it looks (and my tent might look familiar ;)

Great video. Have you ever been to the Rocky Mountains? I moved to Colorado from Florida and became a lot more serious about hiking. I got into 14,000 foot peaks (climbed 35 my first year) and now have got into ice climbing. Just recently I began publishing KZbin videos of these experiences and I have never been happier. There was a ton of discomfort involved, but the pay off is priceless. Keep at it!

Hi, friend! No, we still have to visit this amazing area. For us it is all started also when we moved from the coast to the mountains as the whole new world has opened to us. Wow, 14,000 feet is an amazing accomplishment! We would love to try the climbing too, only first starting with the rocks:) Hope you have a successful start with your channel!

Glad to see your post! As usual, it is a treat for the eyes and soul. You provided a much needed escape from our lockdown here in South Florida. Thanks for transporting us to these beautiful and peaceful settings. We are doing fine @ home, although saddened by these gloomy times. Just cancelled my summer travels to Spain; will have to wait till next summer to be on the safe side. How are you doing in this covid era? ... hope you and your loved ones are doing well and in good health. By the way, I am delighted to see that you are getting close to 1000 subscribers !!! That will be a landmark to celebrate! God bless and all the best! Stay well !

Thank you so much dear friend for your kind words. Happy to hear from you and know that you are fine. It is really uncertain times and we have to constantly turn ourselves back to the positive note with such massive flows of information. We do still hope that we'll have an opportunity to get back to hiking this summer at least for a couple of months. We are quite fortunate as we live right now in a rural area of French Pyrenees and not in the town where everything is more strict. Thanks for noticing, it definitely is a landmark to celebrate, we'll have to think what special we can do for that. You too, stay healthy and strong! Keep in touch!

Amazing video, great music and very helpful 😎, any advice on suitable clothing?
@WalkingNatureWorld2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, appreciate your comment. It depends on the season you are going to hike. If in summer you will still need some warm clothes like fleece shirts and windproof and waterproof jacket, good boots or running shoes as in our case, they are more comfortable but not waterproof. Trekking poles are advisable too. You can also watch what's in our backpack and tips on Tour du Mont Blanc for more details on that kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqfcgHx3i72JeJY. Hope it helps.

This video/documentary is just excelent, thank you so much guys. Was going to ask if you did camp every night and how easy was to get to campsite and continue the next day when that happen. Big thumbs up for you both your videos are brilliant to watch. 5*

Thank you so much for appreciating our work. It was a great trip of ours and we have so many great memories from it. We did stealth camping most of the days and just some days were able to get to the campsite depending on the stretch. It all depends on your stages you plan for yourself but there aren't many campsites on the way overall maybe 4 or 5, there are more refugees or albergues instead.
@ruiseverino76092 жыл бұрын
@@WalkingNatureWorld again thank you for explanation, maybe I will have a look at making some detours, sucha as leaving the TMB to go campsite and get some suplies and return to the point where I stoped the next day. Keep doing sucha great videos, we all learn so much from them.
@WalkingNatureWorld2 жыл бұрын
@@ruiseverino7609 Yes, that is exactly what we do on most of our hikes, sometimes sacrificing the part of the trail in order to get to camp or resupply. Hope you find the best way for you to do it🙂

Quick question: is it allowed to wild camp near Chamonix or French part of the tour? Great video and thanks for sharing.
@WalkingNatureWorld3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes, the bivouac or a nightstay from dusk to dawn is generally allowed on the French part of the trail. if you need more info we share our final thoughts about the trail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqfcgHx3i72JeJY

Hi, thanks for sharing the video. I am planning to go 2021 July. when did you go? 2020, I thought TMB was not open to all.

Hello, we did our TMB in June 2019, this year haven't been able to travel much at all and probably it was difficult to do TMB. But July 2021 may be a nice month, hope you will be able to make it!
