Its the grease that helps the ball move plus faster and sometimes the pto will make a sounds when raising the dump bed but its easy to fix and you didn't even have to take the trains out ither !!!

Big rubber?? Those are Lamborghini tires. Nice truck but I don’t get putting these low profile tires and huge rims on a four wheel drive truck.those wheels were designed for Indy cars. I like that all chrome grill gonna be nice when you get it painted

I have a 78 4 x 4 that my father bought 3 months before I was born in 1978 and I've had it ever since.... I just started fixing it up recently and hopefully and giving it to my daughter when she gets her license or my son... it depends on who passes LOL

@@toxicbear4792 I heard that. My nephew will get mine. I bought it from the original owner in 2004 but it was in bad shape where it sat for about 12 years atleast he undercoated it in 78 so that saved it. Love these old trucks.

Well first let's just say that 77 was the last model year of the HiBoy, 77.5 - 79 F250 4x4's are known as the LowBoy trucks. Now don't get me wrong, I love my HiBoy Fords but the 78 you have has a better suspension design, stronger axles, better power steering, stronger T Case and an over all more desirable truck so don't be bummed out that it isn't a HiBoy. Now for my last gripe, it isn't a 78 Ford Ranger, it's a 78 F250 with the Ranger Trim Package. That's why it's a 78 with square headlights, if it had the "Custom" trim package it would have round headlights.... also I'm willing to bet it has a 351M, not a 400. It's possible it has a 400 but unlikely. UPDATE: are those 5 lug axles? It's hard to tell with those center caps but if that IS a half ton truck then you disregard most of what I said, as only the 67 - 77 F250's were HiBoys, the half ton trucks were not. Now if it IS a half ton like you said in the video I wouldn't be to eager to swap a 6 cyl Cummins up front, that'd be a lot of weight on that front end. And if it has eight lug axles can we please stop calling it a F100?

That 400 has better torque values than a 460 (stroke and rod ratio), Lighter and smaller.. (get better Heads (59cc) and cam.. Unless your building a 514..
