I see you are "tooled up" well, but for 1 item, A real must I would have thought for amount of split logs you need . A log cutter and splitter all on one machine, driven by a small engine or a small tractor, you start by lifting an 8 to 10ft long log up onto the machine, the machine does all the lifting hydraulic's, choice of cutter can be a circular blade or a chainsaw bar & chain, a hydraulic ram pushes the sawn log thru splitters which can be in half, quarters and so on, up a short elevator into your log store, only work to do is stack firewood up. I would say if you set your stall out from the start like having all the wood near to hand, a years worth of firewood could be done in 2 days!! If you got your neighbour to assist, hire your self and machine to him and so on, it will soon pay for its self in no time.

Well put together tour of your cabin. I enjoy seeing videos of this type and how others like yourself have utilized the space provided by the respective build. All cabins are not alike but similar minded people have different ways of using their creativity to bring out the most of what the living area can offer them. Your usage of the limited overhead room is very well thought out. Your addition was much needed considering how little living space you actually have in the first place. Here is a tip to help keep potential viewers from loosing interest and moving on to other videos, Your intro has too much content and takes too long to get to the point of your video. Not meaning the context is useless but might be more appropriate elsewhere in the presentation perhaps nearer the end of your video. Grab their attention to watch the tour, which you did, and stick to that. Then if you feel you need to add anything to the tour of your cabin you can insert it in later thereby keeping the main flow of what the viewer sees. This keeps their interest and attention. (I worked in the movie and film industry and have also made some very successful commercials in my early years.) This is just a subtle suggestion to help you get more likes and views. Long time member of the ACET [ Arizona Center for Experimental Television ] Me southern AZ.

Very nice! I really like how all of it is designed and how it looks! :) I might just steal some of your design ideas for a 3d project. Hopefully for a real cabin some time in the future. :) I just think you utilized that small space really well. I have built a 30 square/meter framed cabin but it turned into very much 1 room and you defenetley want some 'seperation' like you had with the downstairs room and how the upstairs worked. The outside loft with the stream is really awesome too, alot of details inside like the kitchen area i liked alot aswell the setup of it. Also the stone around the stove is great imho. Favourited, Subscribed! :)

I just joined your channel. It's a really beautiful setting there. The cabin looks sturdy and so cute. If you haven't built your bed frame yet, think about using that same black pipe you used for hanging some things on. It's sturdy, not as heavy as wood, wouldn't take up as much space and looks pretty cute as well. Nice video, I enjoyed it very much.

I just discovered your channel. I am just amazed with what you have accomplished. I will go and search our some of your other videos. I do have a question. On your kitchen sink, why not just run a pipe out so it will drain to the outdoors? This would be gray water and should pose no problem. Sure you would need to run it say 15 to 20 feet away from the cabin. I would be interested in your answer.
@PenniacWilderness
@PenniacWilderness Ай бұрын
Good question - I guess main reason is pipe freezing in winter. The bucket works alright, just have to remember not to let it overfill. But in my next build I'll have a more thought-out solution for sure.
@wessmith7408
@wessmith7408 29 күн бұрын
@@PenniacWilderness Thank you for responding. I doubt it would freeze provided the pipe were able to drain. It would need to be angled so that it would drain. At the end of the pipe, dig a hole and fill it with some rock. This makes what is called a type of blind ditch. The water drains without ponding. I know in the winter that would freeze but not a problem. Just so the pipe has some fall so it will drain. Your water would be warm.
