The senator was was being diplomatic when he said he didn't understand why the Democrats won't vote on the SAVE Act but he knows full well why. The Dems want non-citizens to vote because the they believe those votes will go to them, therefore maintaining themselves in power. The acquisition and exercise of power is what motivates Democrats, not service in the public interest.
