Sorry for the extremely late response, but I feel this book takes place at the tail end of season 5. More specifically in between Hearthbreakers and The Mane Attraction. Also, since it takes place after Winter Wrap Up, it can be assumed it takes place after Takes for the Memories. Btw, would that mean that Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep took place during that week since we see the oh so glorious Tank being done hibernating?

In the book, Twilight is an alicorn, yet still lives in the library, and the only time that happens is during Season 4 since Tirek destroys it. Also, on my timeline, Tanks for the Memories was moved up and exists in this really weird mixed-up portion of Season 5 episode. Both because of the season’s Nightmare Night episode and because I wanted 3 Rainbow Dash stories in a row.

Having the Crystal Empire be meth importers and making Marble call the Crystal Empire a bunch of c*nts in your interpretation are true works of art.
