It was released in the UK in 1957 , firstly as a b side to sitting in the balcony and again later in the year as an a side , it was a Cochran/Capehart composition

Great lesson and really good to see someone do the Rhythm part as well as the Lead parts. Excellent. Can you please do more lessons like this. I like Ronnie Self songs like Big Fool and Johnny Hortons One Woman Man.

Hi Paul, thanks very much for your feedback. I love it when folk suggest stuff as it keeps the content fresh! I am working on Pretty Bad Blues at the moment which is a Ronnie Self number for Stian in Norway. Big Fool has a great solo on it - sounds like Grady Martin. That Johnny Horton track has a great twanging guitar part. I will have a look at this also. I keep a list of all the requests and get to them all eventually (assuming they are within my guitar playing abilities). Many thanks! Colin

@@rockabillyrevolution Thats great your doing Pretty Bad Blues Thats another favourite of mine. If you cant manage the solo parts to Big Fool maybe you could just do the acoustic rhythm guitar part because thats what helps me most anyway I want to just sing along to the backing tracks whilst playing an acoustic Thats why I think your lessons are so good. Any tips on playing at home as well would be great i.e would I need a PA system to do this?

@@paulwhiting1648 thanks for this feedback - it's really helpful to know that this is useful. I don't think you will need a PA to play at home unless you are looking to get echo on your vocals. I do this post recording for the videos and then synch it after. If you are recording yourself you could use a zoom recorder or a sound card plus mic into the laptop. I am trying to source some classic rockabilly acoustic songs to do a wee series on this as I think this could be of interest to folks e.g. the Buddy Holly apartment demos, my little baby came rocking by Johnny Burnette etc. If you have any acoustic rockabilly tracks you are interested in let me know. Another track I am working on is the Fool by Sanford Clark / Robert Gordon but it is sooo low for the vocals that I am transposing up a bit. It's got a tremendous riff running through it which is quite easy to play. Anything else you would be interested in on the channel please let me know. Many thanks! Colin

@@rockabillyrevolution The Fool is a good song although like you said very very deep vocals!!! I love Robert Gordons Drivin Wheel. Please do Big Fool by Ronnie Self. I get my backing tracks from a company called Rejen then try and found out what the lead singer would have played on his acoustic i.e the chords and little riffs etc I'm too old and too impatient to learn all the solos and lead parts!!! A course on Rhythm guitar would be great for me.

@@paulwhiting1648 I have made a note of these suggestions and will definitely do a rhythm acoustic series of lessons. The Fool is probably going to kick it off but with a capo! :) I'd never heard of rejen but they have some fantastic tracks there. many thanks and keep rocking! Colin

@@harvey1954 wow that would be interesting to see. Yes he was a huge influence and when you listen to his lyrics they still seem very current. A genius for sure.
