Great work Rich. Talk as much as you want. Some of us don't know jack about building stuff so explanations are welcome.

I've always liked pozi joists, a really good invention, and a significant timesaver. Good to see the bodged up waste pipes finally dealt with! In terms of buckets, i swapped to rubber buckets around ten years ago after seeing a scafolder using them for fittings. I haven't bought a plastic bucket since or worn a rubber one out or broke it!

You're doing a good job Rich, if you can slow down some of the bits you speed up on this one 😜 it was a bit of a blur bricking up the cill. 😂 Great job though nice details

I'm surprised the concrete roof isn't going considering it's a huge thermal bridging point.

It’s becoming a warm roof so it won’t be. I have explained it several times since this series started but you may have missed it. 👍🏻

Dear Mr A builders….this is a long shot ..but…will you be doing a clay tiled roof any time soon with all the details of felt and DPC into the gutter, tile fillets and edge finishing and whatnot?… btw love all your stuff and I’m constantly recommending your videos to my work colleagues

you cut the concrete roof flush to the inside skin, is that not now a cold spot?

We have our Joiner there this week doing the skirts, architraves and doors and Matt has finished the plastering for the under stairs toilet. I’ll be back soon to finish the kitchen if the stuff ever turns up and I’ll be doing a walk around to show the finished build. 👍🏻

Thats moving on now Richard👍 Whats the reasoning behind a warm roof v cold roof 🧐
@Mr_A_Builders3 ай бұрын
If I could never do a cold roof again it would be to soon but unfortunately design and build heights always dictate. 👍🏻
@SteveP593 ай бұрын
Constructing a warm roof is far easier than constructing a cold roof. No ventilation is required, but as Richard says height restrictions are the main reason
@Doug....3 ай бұрын
@@SteveP59 Yes Steve. I suppose the ventilation part is a bit of a pain. Thanks 🙏

What college course did you do in order to become a builder? Thanks
@Mr_A_Builders3 ай бұрын
I personally did a city and guilds in carpentry and joinery but I’m lucky to have worked with my Dad for many years who’s also in the building trade and very knowledgable and also some very good other trades over the years so you tend to develop yourself without the need for courses. I’d never touch gas or electrics as they are not my thing but it helps a lot when you’re stripping out or preparing the build for those trades to know how they work and what they may need in place. The most important thing you need to know is electricians never sweep up and if they say they don’t trust them and if you get a price off a gas engineer and the quote is less than a small family car they are no good😂👍🏻
