Regarding the studding / allthread... run a couple of nuts on the bar then cut the end off; when you remove the nuts they act like a die and tidy the cut end up so you can get nuts on again. Question.. how do you get all four studs in so square. I would never achieve that and would end up having to encourage the plate on with a small hammer.
@Mr_A_Builders2 ай бұрын
Cheers man! Oh there was some 'encouragement' going on, don't you worry about that! We just took our time and got them as square as we could but as you say, there's always room for persuasion!
@herbderb2 ай бұрын
If you are ever stuck having to use the cut end of threaded rod... If you thread a nut on before you cut it and then take the nut off it can help clean up the threads and make them usable. Or just go spend a fortune on a tap/die set. :)

That epoxy tube doesn’t go off immediately in the tube, you can put the lid back on and it’ll be fine to use down the line as all the mixing happens in the nozzles. Neither parts will go off unless exposed to the chemical reaction e.g. mixing the two parts.
@CraveThatCoin2 ай бұрын
The nozzle will though. Only 1 nozzle with each tube
@Mr_A_Builders2 ай бұрын
Ah sound mate, thank you. I've used it in the past and it has gone off but maybe that was an old tube and a different brand. Cheers man.
@Jack-Daniel.12 ай бұрын
@@Mr_A_Builders I’m sure it’s the same stuff I’ve used in the past. Long story short I wrapped some cling film over the opening and screwed the cap back on, I thought it would be off, tried it out with the second new nozzle and it was fine. However I can’t really say, how long it’ll last or if it will have an adverse effect on the strength etc. As when I used it the same tube the second time it was only for in my own garden because I had a loose slab and couldn’t be arse re-bedding, so just cleaned up the area and put a few blobs and it was sound.
@Jack-Daniel.12 ай бұрын
@@CraveThatCoin You normally get two nozzles per a tube, how long before the tube becomes unusable, I can’t state nor can I confirm if the product becomes weaker.
@baldyslapnut.2 ай бұрын
You can buy extra nozzles if you have fiddly, time-dependent jobs for the resin. Unclip the gutter off temporarily in situations like that and let water run off the roof. You'll still be wet but not drenched😂

I do like you very much but as with 95% of builders you are a hugely tallented little boy who hasn't grown up and is so nice you get walked all over! You have to understand once you have to a contract and once you start, the building site is YOURS. Nobody including the client can come onto the site without your permission or approval!... If a client (stop calling them customers because they are not!) if a client wanders on site and starts telling you what to do you very politely asking him to leave and let you get on withthe job. I watched your video ten months ago wshere you allowed yourself to be fired and felt very unhappy for you. You need to get tougher and be procedural. Stop being so informal!
