I’m happy that I still have my (almost) complete set of Pokémon games from when I was a kid. My brother and I used to play Pokémon when we were young and when he became a teenager he gave them all to me for my game collection. All CIB except for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color games and Leaf Green. Fun story; I sold my copy of Yellow and Crystal as a kid for $10 because I wanted to save for Pokémon Platinum… I rebought Crystal on the eshop and a Japanese copy when I was in Japan but I still don’t own a copy of Yellow bc I genuinely don’t care to rebuy it.

I went on Sunday to SEGE with a similar mission as you. I did get Retrowolf's Sapphire that needed a battery. I saw a copy of Soul Silver but passed. Nice finds. Good luck with your hunts! I have to find most of the GBA ones, Crystal and some DS games. I'm getting there though!

This is cool! I’m going for the same, and after grabbing 6 more at SEGE, I just need Soulsilver now. But, I would recommend grabbing Green. I know it’s Japanese only, but it’s the only one in the mainline series to be so, so it doesn’t alter the goal too much. I got mine nice and cheap at a local store.

I’ve got that big box copy of Emerald. Walmart exclusive that came with a Rayquaza GB SP case. Very rare and expensive. Most collectors aren’t aware of it. I believe it’s the most expensive Pokémon game with that big box followed by Pokémon box.

I played Sun when they came out and was so turned off by it that despite buying both Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon I never actually played either. I played both USUM fairly recently (I want to say 3 or 4 months ago) to catch stuff for my living dex in Home and I can honestly say they are miles better than Sun/Moon to the point where I'd honestly consider USUM some of my favorite games in the franchise. Would definitely say they're worth playing through. Awesome haul, HGSS and Platinum are massive pickups.

Popplio’s final evolution almost solos the entire game. I wasn’t a fan when the design was revealed, but I stuck with my choice during the promotional period and I love Primarina. I just made sure to soft reset for a female.

That’s definitely a reproduction and not an official, real copy of Emerald. But if you want to play and don’t have the cash for the real copy a reproduction should play just fine.
