Something to think about with the horse shelter is to add a gutter on the back and attach it to a Polly tank then connect it to a water trough with a float. It will work out in the Warmer months

That's a very good suggestion. Granted they have a water tub filled via hose, it would be handy to have a secondary water source. And if the tank gets too low, they could fill it back up with a hose.

Your work ethic remined me of this ol' cowboy poem I wrote years back: The eggs are gathered, chickens are fed. The ticks are picked off the pooch's head. The trough's full, bacon goin' in the kitchen. Got my willow sticks ready for water witchin'. The horses are shoed, the hay is stacked. Got most of the wheat and sorghum cracked. The hawgs are slopped, the fence is mended. Got most things done that I had intended. Need more coffee for my ol' coffee cup. Hey, looky there. The sun's comin' up!

The horse shelter looks about right for size. One of our horses was "one of those" who'd fool with the gate or the stock tank heater cord until he'd pull it out of the water. I solved that by cutting the plug off the power cord, running it through a metal pipe which was then screwed down to the stock tank. Then one has to put on a new plug of course, but the water didn't freeze because the horse had pulled the heater out...again. Hope that helped you or someone out there.

I'm so thrilled to see them recovered too. Four of my family members got cv and treated heavily at home, no doctors help. They are fully recovered. A friend took the Maderna shot on August 9. He was in the hospital at 14 days. He never was allowed to wake from his medically induced coma. He died September 14. He had zero comorbities. The shot killed him. And, oh, he gave it to his wife and son who did at home holistic treatment and recovered. Now they are alone. Not his fault, his job, a software engineering manager, required him to take the shot and he thought it was safe.

@@wkjeom yes, it is such an evil ploy that all those involved in its existence know of its high risk potential and yet continue to push it on the world of test dummies !!! Human life has become secondary to monetary gain and the power to control the world. This is what happens when man chooses to replace GOD with themselves. Praying intensely for all mankind to fall on their knees in repentance and to seek Gods forgiveness and accept the new life in Christ that Jesus on the cross and His resurrection offers to all who seek Him in Faith & Truth. Remembering Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father God Almighty John 14 v 6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

Here's a thought for you. Just in case you haven't already thought about it. Lol On the horse shelter you could put gutters and down spouts that drain into a horse water trough. What do you think?

The shed looks like premade set. It must be joined by a foundation guideline from the supplier. Maybe there is a guide on how to place the shed relative to the slope of the terrain, and drainage in winter and spring as rain set in and snow melts.

3 sided animal shelters, open end north in summer and south end open in winter work very well. The animals can access as they desire. I farmed in eastern Ontario with such sheds and the horses were seldom in the sheds. Snow would collect on their furry backs but they continued to graze outside the sheds unless the weather was REALLY fierce. The horses know what is best as long as they have access to good feed and good water and shelter at will.

"Doing what you love is freedom. Loving what you do? Well, that's happiness." I thought I was going to cry with joy... and THEN you insert the picture of the sunset! And I did cry. Gorgeous! ~ Your siding looked incredible. That's going to be so much fun to install. I had one question. Since so much of the horse shelter is metal, do you think it would be a good idea to set up a lightning rod? And if yes, how far/close to the shelter should it be?

@@rosawilliams9145 ~ Great point! I guess it would help to know if the shelter is built with 100% aluminum or not? Regardless, you just gave me something new to look up! ~ So far, all I'm certain of is that metal doesn't *attract* lightning, it *conducts* it.
