To celebrate another major milestone, 200 episodes, I read and analyse another one of my favourite essays: 'Complex Systems Won’t Survive the Competence Crisis' by Harold Robertson (Published in Palladium).

Been watching since Jun 26, 2018, Stream of Conciousness Episode 5 with Styx. Have been calling you our best and most criminally undersubscribed political youtuber since, still stand by it. Congrats on 200 Episodes, may you continue to have many more years of great success.

Hey there, would you be open to do a Live Stream or Podcast together? We have a mostly german audience, and I think it would be a great benefit for our boys from the old continent to hear what is going on in SA. Not just the current thing, more like a gerneral overview of the situation and what you guys do. The Anglossphere has a pretty good Idea already, but here it is much less known. Cheers!

Very informative videos and streams. I've met a lot of South Africans in England and they are good intelligent people mostly. It is a real shame the way they are treated over there and I've noticed particularly amongst the Anglos they seem to have a hard time facing up to who's doing what to the country. I guess it is being polite and trying to see the best in people more than anything and this can be a virtue. But White people continuing to ignore reality is making life harder and more dangerous in Europe and the West very rapidly.

Interesting but of doubtful relevance to a place like SA. Third world systems absolutely have a competence crisis but it is utterly dwarfed by the cultural crisis. Systems fail not because of a lack of knowledge but because of the complete disinterest those in positions of responsibility have in performing their duties. They're there to preen, indulge in the benefits of high office and if possible loot. A competence crisis implies there is an attempt to do the right thing that is stymied by a lack of competence. If only that were the case! That's a relatively straightforward problem to solve.

Yes. Thank G.d someone's addressing this. Sub Saharan Africa is a great example of massive failure of complex systems failing even from a sociological perspective, never mind mechanical. Indians in E Africa built the railways. As a result of them gaining access to mines and production, they took over the middleman positions all over E. Africa and made up the bulk of competent administrators, maintenance workers and traders along it's route. They tried to get Africans to cooperate, but it was impossible. It's impossible to this day. The result was that all the infrastructure that was built, failed. China is now moving in. They can't employ native Africans. They refuse to work. By the time the BRI is completed in 2049, the initial stages that are now completed will need repair or replacement. China bit off more than it can chew.
