can we talk about the uncomfortable delay in the beginning of the song tho? like the ukulele stops playing and you expect to hear her voice straight after but there’s an uncomfortable space/silence before she sings! def noticed this when singing along w her i always want to sing a little ahead. i feel like this is bc it’s meant to represent the uncomfy feeling you get before you start crying/breakdown like it’s building up but you can’t quite yet release those emotions, and then finally the release towards the end!! so beautiful

Wow, I’m so happy to have found your channel! This is one of my favorites on this album, it’s so haunting and tragic. Definitely gave me musical theatre vibes too. The transitions are why this is the only album that I listen to in Spotify with the "Gapless" feature. It always takes me to a journey, more like a movie. It's a unique and incredible experience and I will forever love Dodie for it.
