साल 1971 में देवानंद की एक फिल्म आई थी गैम्बलर...इसमें रफी साहब का एक गाना बहुत लोकप्रिय हुआ था...
फिल्म के संगीतकार एसडी बर्मन जी ने रफी साहब के लिए एक और गाना सुरक्षित रखा था...लेकिन उस गाने के बोल और उसका कॉम्पोजिशन किशोर कुमार को पसंद आ गया...
किशोर दा उस गाने के बोल और उसके कॉम्पोजिशन के ऐसे दीवाने हो गए कि उन्होंने ज़िद पकड़ ली कि ये गाना वो ही गाएंगे...
एसडी बर्मन के लाख समझाने के बाद भी वो नहीं माने...आखिरकार वो गाना किशोर दा की आवाज़ में ही रिकॉर्ड किया गया...
जब दोनों गाने एक साथ रिलीज़ हुए तो दोनों ही गानों ने धूम मचा दी...
अब इन दोनों गानों को लेकर रफी साहब और किशोर दा के फैन्स आपस में भिड़ गए...
