I’m so pleased to see someone who is actually writing in her own junk journal! I do the same. I’ve tried making the journal first and then just writing in it each day vs making each page as I go along. Doing it day by day I get to match the page to my mood or topic, but it became time-consuming, so there were often days I wouldn’t write anything. Having the journal already prepared with pockets, etc makes writing everyday a lot easier and I seldom miss a day. But it’s quite a task to get a whole journal done and ready to write in! Love your composition notebooks! Your family will treasure them someday and remember you by them. And some great great great granddaughter will know you!!!

I know this video was made along time ago but I just came across it. I just started watching KZbin on making junk journals and I've seen hundreds of them and some are really beautiful but I have to say I LOVE your composition note book journals the best!!! I love how simple they are yet really fun and useful. I absolutely love them! I think I found exactly what I want. I can't wait to make these! Thank you for sharing!

Flips and flaps and fru fru. LOL you're great! I have saved this as a go to for inspiration. If I'm remembering... those journals actually have signatures. If I'm right, I'm going to take them apart and coptic stitch bind them with covers so there's more room. I LOVE this! Thanks for sharing, even six years later ♥

I lived in Texas for a bit. I don't recall people pronouncing uno as "you know" but did have a friend that said quesedilllllla ;) Too cute, I wondered if it was a dialect thing. I live in the northeast and we "yankees" certainly need some assistance in the pronunciation depahhhtment :) I loved the tiny Uno cards! Very cute ideas here!

I luv this. I recently pulled out a journal my great aunt kept. She typed all the pages with births, marriages deaths and paperwork. It's a family treasure of our ancestry. Yours is the same idea. It's awesome.

Not sure if anyone is familiar with ASMR, but that specific sound of the paper was my first ASMR 'trigger', making my scalp prickle. Kinda like a one second euphoric feeling in your ears and scalp. And I LOVE that way you've done these. I had SO many unused comp books lying around from when my kids were in school. Time to put them to use!

After seeing this, I bought the one with graph paper..... A couple of searches on Google & Ebay and I was in..... I'm going to "Gelli" mine with my home-made gelatin slab I'm making this week. I'll make it chunky like yours.... There are many junk-journal videos on KZbin. But yours capture the concept as no other. Yours are the gold standard of this wonderful art form. I am all at once enchanted & inspired & comforted by your presentations. You are the queen of junque.... LOL.... Will pray for you for how much you inspire me! Let me know when you blow into my town~NYC.

You know it's funny but that movement or action of just painting the shoe polish or paint or whatever medium you use on a page has it's own very Zen feeling to it also. I actually enjoy doing that very much. I find it very relaxing somehow. Don't know what that means but that's how I feel. Those edges are so gorgeous to!!! I am constantly fascinated by how these "junk" type journals just draw me to them like a magnet. They are just soooo much fun and they turn out so awesome no matter what is in there. Thanks for sharing it with us!!
