One of my best friends is Iraqi. His family was forced out of Iraq in the wake of the Iraq war. His family moved to Jordan where they were treated like second class citizens. They had soldiers beat them up for no reason who patrolled daily. One even put a pistol to his head and pulled the trigger. Click. He is Muslim. Although he admittedly hated America and Americans, he was approved for a visa and moved to Texas. After living in Texas and Washington state he has been able to change his old mindset through his interactions with people that broke the mold. Now, he never came with intent to kill people in the first place. It is obviously different from someone who is already part of a terrorist cell. He just wanted a chance to live his life and at the end of the day he found that opportunity in the homeland of his enemy. I have met many people whose religeous views soften after gaining some experience outside their cultural bubbles. Immagration is important, but so is procedure. New blood can inject an economy with able boddied people. You can't let too many people in at once with no restrictions and not expect logistical, cultural, and economic problems. Espescially when you have people who are unskilled and can't read or speak the language of the country they end up in. Throw terrorism in that mix and you have chaos.

A lot of different points shocking to a lot of people's ears- I tried to find a place where i could get a different perspective on immigration and diversity, so i contacted the DEI office in Kyoto Japan ....GUESS WHAT there is no such office!! The part of this whole political correctness movement that gets me is that it seemingly undercuts the whole concept of sovereignty in your own space and property/ the ability you live free on your own and protect yourself and your family. My girlfriend and I were talking about moving out to more rural Colorado and I mentioned getting a gun and whatnot and she starts in on how she’s anti gun, anti death penalty, and she thinks that “police response time will be about the same as Boston” so why do we need any of that?..... I’m just amazed- I’m not allowed to protect myself and my family? Especially in a place where the closest sheriffs station is a 30 minute drive? Is the bear or family murderer going to wait and watch an episode of Friends for the cops to show up? A lot of this stuff is politics aside- politics don’t matter- protecting your own life and your family are the cornerstone of a society- if I’m not allowed to do that, then why would I want a family or a life- if it’s not worth defending then you’re not doing a good job. If we’re not at the very least free to defend yourself from real crimes and protect you’re life then you’re not free at all.
