Some of my favorite moments are Ant talking about his old air conditioning days and being ticketed by the bridge and tunnel officer. I cannot imagine how chopped up those stories would be with Opie there. "Hold on! hold on! Tim in New Brunswick used to install air conditioners too; let's hear what he has to say. Tim! What do you have for the show, brother?" "Uh, yeah. I just wanted to say that I worked air conditioning before and Ant is right, it sucks..." "Alllllright."

When someone has the ability to actually say what's on their mind, & give an honest opinion like Anthony does, it's so much better.. Opie failed to realize, despite Patrice's many explanations, that just coming out & admitting your prejudices makes you infinitely more respectable, & less racist by the way, because you at least acknowledge that you have those thoughts, like everyone else.

I hated O & A when it was on the air because of Opie. In fact, Opie caused me to overlook Ant’s talent. Anthony has real talent. Opie won the lottery.

I was a teen & never heard of the show O&A; ironically at the same time I was hearing these fellas in GTA games lol. I barely started listening to the O&A archives in 2020 & I kind of overlooked Opie because I was having fun listening to Ant, & their guests. Replaying the clips, yeah, it’s noticeable just how overbearing Opie is when he’d chime in on the mic. Ruining the flow of comedy.

Thing is, if you listened to enough old clips of O and A, Opie laughed at, and agreed with a lot of the racial stuff when Anthony went on his rants. Now, Greg is SO UNCOMFORTABLE with them, its BS. Clearly Opie just talks about it because its the one weak spot that he can try to stain Anthony, because he knows he cant burn Ant for not being funny.

There, you cut to the heart of it, the reason I appreciate listening to Anthony even though I'm not a fan of his bigotry. At least he's honest, and doesn't come across as a bitter, nasty old fart. He hasn't lost his sense of humor. The exact opposite of Gregg Hughes, who wouldn't know the truth if it slapped him in the face, and is still angry that he didn't have a more successful career.

In the beginning Opie and Ant were like college buddies. They’d have naked chicks in the studio and high five each other. Jim then came along and had this firey personality that matched Ant’s which more or less made Opie the straight man. Opie then started to resent the fact that he became the straight man which is just as important to the show. I think he probably felt that he was no longer a main player on a show that he created so he became super resentful.

I would love to have Ant to reaction videos to some of the old O and A (especially with Patrice) shows. When you re listen and have blatant points where... what the fuck happened there, was Patrice looking at you when Opie derailed convos? We’re you all talking after the show picking at how much of a train wreck he was and how when was essentially gregg shells. I know Patrice HAD to have mentioned something
@koopaa133 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if Patrice really meant it, but he brought it up when he was talking to Jim about face off. Jim convinced Patrice that Face Off was a horrible movie. Opie chimed in saying Patrice was a bad friend and that someone could convince Patrice that he wasn’t Opie’s friend. Patrice elaborated that if someone systematically pointed out why Opie sucks, he would have to agree.
@Tehownilator3 жыл бұрын
Pathological lying is something most people can’t understand because it’s not really about lying, it’s a thing that starts with an ego convincing itself that it has a certain place in the room, and then spins out of control to the point where the lies are so obvious that most of the new lies end up being to yourself as a defence against people calling you out for being such a blatant liar.
