Hello Professor Yu, I hope you are well. And your video really helps me to study for the TEAS test! Thank you very much! I am reviewing 8. respiratory system and cardiovascular system work together to try to figure out the blood flow in this video, it is mentioned Oxgenated blood return to the heart via Pulmonary vein. I am also reading ATI TEAS study manual 2022-2023 says deoxygenated blood returns to the heart through veins. I wanted to verify with you. Thank you :)

That's a great question! So we actually talk about two different circulation pathways. (1) I was describing the end of the pulmonary circuit where the oxygenated(good) blood leaves the lungs and flows toward the heart via the pulmonary veins. Note that not all veins carry deoxygenated blood and pulmonary veins are a good example of that exception. (2) What you read in the study manual describes the end of the systemic circulation: deoxygenated blood from all the tissues return to the heart through veins (in this case, all veins carry deoxygenated blood). Eventually, all the veins will merge into two big veins, superior vena cava and inferior vena cava. These two veins will bring the deoxygenated blood back to the heart (R. atrium). do we have to know how to read and label a Spirometry graph for the teas exam?

Good question! I don't see the topic metioned in the ATI study guide and I have not seen questions on a spirometry graph for the last few years. So I think you probably won't encounter any questions on spirometry for the TEAS exam. I'd spend the time on other more important topics. Hope this helps :-)
