I used to eat a slice of cake before going drinking. Then in the morning if I was really bad, a full english breakfast and lots of fruit juice

Hair of the dog works a charm. Pure shot of vodka that is, not the beer. It will just result in fountain of foamy pukeness

I like the idea of food being involved. A bite of bread, cheese, some pickle, a sardine and cracker between shots/drinks can go a long way to preventing a bad time or even worse next day. This is not an American approach. Our method is to start late and consume as much as possible before even considering eating. I notice other cultures like the Koreans and Japanese incorporating food into their drinking bouts. Wisdom.

snacking throughout a drinking session has a major impact on your ability to function the next day! Any time you're shocked at how well you pull up, you've probably had food in front of you all night. No food and you'll be keeled over the toilet first thing in the morning! I can't stomach hair of the dog these days, I used to treat it as buying about an hour to sort your life out though. Once it wears off, you better hope all your other treatments have started taking effect!

NAC, Vitamin B1 (don't actually know any science to back that up, but experience puts it's effectiveness on par with NAC), electrolytes, but overall make sure it's worth it. Drink good stuff that has good ingredients and has had some care put into it. Can you afford to sleep long - you've got cells to repair.

NAC a few hours before drinking and milk thistle the day after work nicely, thing with NAC is I feel like you need more to get to a normal level of drunkenness

For every drink of hard liquor I drink a big glass of water. Booze dehydrates the body.

Happy New Year! Found your channel about a week ago with your herring under a fur coat. Great content! I wonder if I can find Borjomi in Canada.

If I am expecting a night out my plan is the following: - eat a hearty meal with lots of animal fats and take some extra vitamin D and C in it before going out. I dont know if there's some science behind it but for me it eases the next day. - make sure there's sports drink, energy drink and mineral water in fridge for the next day - drink some water between the drinks - following day make drink mix consisting equal parts sports drink, energy drink and mineral water and add half a tablespoon of salt in it. Sip leisurely. - last tip: chill and relax. If possible plan the day after so that you have no obligations or needs to go anywhere so if you just want to rot in the corner of the sofa for the day, then do it.

I don't really get hangovers, and i am a drinker. Just got lucky genetically i guess. The worst i ever get is maybe a mild headache and dehydration. And by mild headache, i mean a headache that i won't even take motrin for (aspirin doesn't work for me).

Can you do a video on stroganoff? Judging by the name, im guessing it's a dish of Russian origin.

I need to mention that while choosing a picle juice to drink you should stick to lactofermented pickles which contain no vinegar. It has much needed salt and some lactic acid which you need to get back into your body. And I prefer to stay away from hot shower, just go lukewarm. My last hangover went from 3 to 7 just due to hot AF shower

A bowl of cereal with full-fat before sleep has always been my go-to hangover preventitive, absorbs much excess and easy to throw up should it come to that. Totally going to try activated charcoal tho!
