Good info. Another problem air compressors occasionally have is a gummed up one-way check valve located in the pump discharge tube to the air tank. With air pressure in the tank, the motor is sluggish to come up to rated rpm. People sometimes chase the problem down another rabbit hole looking at start or run caps, when all that is needed is some carb cleaner to free up the sticky valve. Cheers
