Then he slight of hand switch the ace of diamonds for a queen and just gives the guy that queen. Easiest way to describe it is every time he gives the guy a new card its a queen, and he just says its an ace.

At 0:50 David does a double lift and shows the heart but is actually holding a queen. At 1:08 he gives the subject the queen and takes the diamond. At 1:13 David quickly pulls the diamond off screen where he swaps it with another queen he had ready at the top of the deck and then hands it to the subject resulting in the subject having two queens. The double lift is a terrifyingly effective sleight.

@@MrSamoannn Watch the trick with audio muted so he's not distracting you, and keep in mind that when he "speed switches" he's not actually switching anything. It becomes kind of obvious what he's doing, but he's a master of distraction.

At 1:01 you see Ace of Diamonds, at 1:04 he puts the Queen of Spades on top and seconds later removes the Ace of Diamonds below, and at 1:16 puts the Queen of Clubs on top, and there is it! All the real action is not on what you can see and what he draws attention at, the action is whenever he puls and switches the cards near him. This one is not hard, but distraction makes them confuse.

I remember learning this trick from Brad Christian 20 years ago on his Ellusionist VHS. It’s an unbelievably effective sleight of hand. Never knew David Blaine also did it.

David Blaines Card tricks is all about confidence.. watch how he didn’t stop talking the whole time and making the guy think he’s actually teaching him after swapping the cards but actually that’s the hook of the whole trick. He took the diamonds off and swap it before putting it back in the mans fingers

no he didn't, he swapped when he put the other card on top and told him to hold it tight, you can see him grab the original card n make the switch
