Pretty sure you just put your key in like you're starting it and then you just tap on the break, and it shuts the remote start off. And then you can drive.

@@donnymonteforte1906 if the vehicle you own has auto tailgate open it can be programmed. Most places will upcharge that install since it’s extra wiring and potentially needing extra relays for that feature to work properly. Other vehicles do that feature via Data. All depends on the year/make/model

If you got a factory remote start why change it.

Because factory remote start is limited to the range of the key fob and only allows 10 minutes of run time , after market has longer range run time can be adjusted , my cars run for 25 minutes , also if you pay less than $350 for a remote start then your installer has no clue what he’s doing quality remote starts and work cost money , oh and I pay less cause I know my installer for 35 years .
