Yes, Mark! Please do an in depth video of the JL Tun software. There really aren't any good detailed videos about how to use it. I have a twk88 stand alone DSP that I tuned myself with a full JL setup with an active 3-way front stage. I'm an electrical engineer so it was a cake walk using their software (very intuitive for technical users), but it is detailed and can be complicated for unexperienced users. Great videos as always! My setup: Source: Cell phone, usually Spotify Premium on Highest quality over a Qualcom APT-X HD bluetooth receiver puck - Toslink digital stereo audio into JL Tkk88 DSP. 3 way active front stage, no rear stage. I also have the DRC-205 for the DSP control. (small = all volume, larger round = subwoofer volume.) Tweeter - Home theater Vifa tweeter (amazing) 20KHz - 2.5KHz 4" mid range - RBH Sound Beryllium driver in cast basket with phase plug- 2.5KHz - 400Hz Tweeter and mids mounted on dash in custom fiber glass and body filler sound deadened enclosure, pointing directly to appropriate ear - I don't care about balanced sound for passengers. 6.5" low mids - JL Audio C5 650 - 400Hz -100Hz. Speakers in front doors. Subwoofer- JL Audio 10W7AE in JL's sealed box. AMPLIFIERS: JL Audio HD750/1 - subwoofer JL AUdio HD600/4 - 2x 6.5" doors and 2x 4" mids both HD amps are stacked on top of each other with JL's HD stack kit JL Audio 300/4 - 2x tweeters and the other 2x bridged into 1 mono bass shaker in driver's seat. I used to have installed (now on the shelf in my office) another JL 300/4 for rears but it doesn't really add much to the driver's sound stage. The sound quality, imaging, sound stage, dynamic range, and impact is INCREDIBLE!!!!

@@CarAudioFabrication I will be sticking with my 3 original JL Audio slash series amps a 500/1, 300/4 and a 300/2. With my Pioneer MVH-S622BS do I need to purchase a Jl Audio or an Audio Control DSP for my system and what would you recommend I am running a 10W6V2 center console ported sub box with JL C2-650 components for the front doors and factory tweeter location for the new Jl C2 tweeters as well some C2-650x coaxials for the rear doors and a set of Boston Acoustics Pro 60 components in some Q-Form kick panels run off of the Jl Audio 300/2. I noticed the 300/2 had pre-amp outputs so I was thinking about using those to daisy chain to my 300/4. I do have the remotes for the 500/1 and 300/2 for my dash to control the gain. was thinking I could set up my 300/2 for the Pro 60's and then using my gain control knob from the 300/4 to blend in the sound. What do you think?

Hi Mark! Awesome video as always. if I were to ask for an explanation of some of the TuN features, it would be that of the optical input functionality. I have a system planned with a FiX-82 using the optical out to a VX800/8i and I'm having to wrap my head around how this configuration works in terms of output level. I understand that you are dealing with a completely digital signal. How is the 'level' of this digital signal coming from the FiX going to the VXi controlled? Is there clipping? It is obvious that the signal source strength from the factory head unit is what controls this, but I have found very limited information to explain this in complete detail. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

There are a lot of these sorts of amps out there - basically every company that offers a serious DSP tool has introduced at least one multi-channel amp with integrated DSP. The problem, as I see it, is that none of them offer an amp with at least *some* AB channels. Since the goal of any DSP system is to maximize the sound quality, doesn't it make sense for these amps to have at least four AB channels (better still six)?

This is something I wanted in my previous vehicle, but it did not yet exist, so I ended up DIYing a DSP in front of the amps (thank jebus I'm a tech wizard). I *really* like what JL Audio have put together here, in such a small and stylish box. The features are all there for a very high-end product, but what is with that 100w@2Ω power rating ? Sure, it's enough for a lot of systems, but I think in a flagship amp they could have at least gone for 125@4Ω / 175@2Ω. That would have sealed the deal for me, but in its current configuration it's just not powerful enough for the build I have in mind, and I'm back to needing a separate DSP, split amps, and all the bulkiness that entails.
