My theory is that the whole obsession with Conan in South Korea started with these girls They came back home and just would not shut up about how funny this U.S. celebrity talk show guy was to all their friends and family so little by little that increase on Conan views in KZbin in the region started getting real momentum and just snowballed as part of their pop culture. Then BAM! Conan is national icon to them and when news broke that he was visiting their country everybody lost their minds and flooded the airport screaming and that's where his whole rock star entrance video picks up and the rest is history

If you ask me to memorize a much of dates and events from World War II I wouldn’t be able to do it. But since I like game shows a lot, I hang on to whatever I read about them.

No it's not. It's called recreational retention. Basically, I like game shows a lot so I retain information about it easily. If you asked me to memorize a bunch of facts about baseball or World War II, I couldn't do this.
