Greetings from a fellow Scot :) Thank you for making these tutorials, they are very helpful for a new player. You have just solved a mystery I was having in-game where my thralls kept teleporting away from the location I left them. I thought my game was glitched, and had no idea they would leave if I hadn't given the command for them to do something other than stop following. I also didn't know there was an option to find where the followers were on the map, so thank you for that too.

I would highly recommend taming a named fighter from noob river before moving out. This may require you getting a T2 or T3 fighter first to help you KO the named one

Excellent intro series. I'm a new player. About two weeks in. Just hit my first purge. Had a tier 2 base similar to yours by the Bat Tower. Got a Rocknose purge and a large lad called Rockslide absolutely annihilated all my thralls and chewed off a third of my base. I think I was under-staffed. I had four named thralls between level 10-15 and about five pets. I was feeling confident. I had absolutely no chance. Reality check! I'll be preparing better for the next one.

Lol similar to me. I watched his video on purges and thought he had such an easy time. I was in the jungle though and i got purged by like 8 waves of enemies they killed all my beasts and several of my thralls. I had 33 followers all together ended with 5 and those were my 2 horses and my armorer, tanner, and smelter. I ended up moving because the jungle was to far away from everything i needed to grow and during my second purge i was in the top part of the desert with 15 followers all leveled to 7 all with over 2000 hp and my base is right near a giant crock and chest that i have used to give all my thralls legendary weapons and i have a stock pile of legendary weapons, every 30 minutes its lootable with a key and i just pull the giant crock to my base where my thralls beat it down.

A really helpful walkthrough of the Dregs, Angaar. This is a great series - Thank you! Last time I did it was when CE first came out. So far it's still the only time I've ever use a bow in CE. Watched your video to prepare for the fight right now, had two heads spawn for me, neither spit acid until I killed the first with the bow, then I was able to take down the second head with your strategy!! Definitely was a lot easier than I thought it would be xD thanks for the awesome strategy

Another good video. Dregs is recommended 30th level minimum, then the weapons can be useful. Witch queen level 40, king under the mountain level 50, black keep level 55-60. As the original dungeons of the map. Sunken city, war maker and wine cellar are all level 60 dungeons.

I always thought the dregs was a level 10 dungeon because it was on newb river.

A skilled player may be able to complete it at lvl10, but not a beginner.

I went to the Dregs dungeon yesterday for the 1st time and I didn't have a bow and arrow with me. I saw that as an example of flawed design that the game doesn't give hints, though in this instance it wouldn't be a big problem because I'd just have to leave, get the bow and back to dungeon. But I actually looked around a bit better and found all the necessary materials for a bow and arrows right there in the cave. Branches scattered on the floor, bones and fiber in chests. If that was by design and not just a completely RNG loot, I have to say nice touch, game, you didn't tell me i was gonna need an item, but you gave me the opportunity to make it myself. The exit from the dungeon wasn't apparent. I left the same way I came in. Or maybe I just didn't look around very well.

Yeah there should be enough mats to craft a basic bow and arrows if you don't have them already. There is an exit in the boss room directly opposite from where you come up the steps into it's chamber, this spits you out at the vents slightly to the east of the Dregs obelisk.

Have fun, just remember not to kill everything on the way to the entrance as you need to sacrifice someone on the round part to open the door, bring a bow and some arrows to hit the targets, and a shield helps deflect to poison spit on the boss.

Oh I forgot to add that this armor or the hyena armor are good at epic level for going into the cold. They have double cold at epic level with a t4 armorer.

*in extremis* a bow can be crafted from the materials found in the first cave (with the kimono dragons). Remember, also, that if you are killed in the dungeon and re-spawn with no gear, you don't need to use a bow a second time, because the water levels will still be rising and falling - just be sure to dodge any skeletons that may have re-spawned!

Komodo, not Kimono. A kimono is an item of clothing of Japanese origin, a Komodo is the largest land dwelling venomous lizard on the planet. And yes, it IS venomous, though the venom is rather slow acting. Which is kind of unfortunate for its prey really as it kills slow and hard...... It's really a hell of a difference between the two don't you think?

Fyi, climbing was added late into the game. I saw streamers learning Mitra, then jumped into a leg of the statue, and couldn't get out. Most new Dungenes don't have this feature I believe.

Those glow sticks are my favorite torch in the entire game, because they don't extinguish when you're swimming. You can get the recipe and the materials at a very low level, and they hardly weigh anything to carry enough to keep them repaired.

They made a good game and it just died because they didn’t want to add anything but if they keep adding stuff and bring back the player base I feel like this game will most definitely thrive and I’ve been playin conan since day one of beta. 😢 sad to see it go dead and then come back to life I love everyone who makes videos on it to very helpful and grateful!!

I specifically held off on watching this video because I wanted to explore it myself. I'll be doing the same with later videos about different dungeons, because that was the right call. It was pretty fun for a low level dungeon. My only issue is the lack of combat in it. There should have been at least a couple more skeletons.

I don't like how they call it Abysmal instead of Abyssal. Abyssal would mean it's from or related to the abyss, whereas Abysmal would mean the equipment or material is of the worst quality.

Well the sword daggers and arrows do abysmal damage by the time you finally do the Dregs!

The daggers are actually really good early game. I tend to do the dregs (with stone daggers) right after I spawn in to the game on my way up to Sepermeru. The Abyssal Daggers have an acid dot that is useful early for stacking bleed and acid.

The game is pretty much giving you iron arrows and Dafari weapons from the Dafari guarding the Dregs. With those you can kill anything on the river quickly including corrupted beasts and 1 skull fighters. The Abyssal stuff should be buffed or remain useful for longer imho. But the same thing can be said of Steel. A lot of wasted effort in getting recipes like snake weapons and lemurian gear that can quickly become obsolete with legendaries and crafting. Daggers are always good and I have beaten most of the game with only stone daggers.

Its easy to craft a bow and arrow in the dungeon itself. Basic bow and arrows require basic resources, stone, sticks, fibre

I managed to get 8 relic hunter seekers and 1 level 3 thrall and got them at level 6, but there at low health from 2,000 to 3000. I've noticed your thralls have a lot of health even before level 6. How did you get them to have 6,000+ health?

It is meant to be a level 30'ish dungeon, so as long as you have a half decent thrall, or happy to take out the skeletons, you will be fine.

It might be a loading issue, and a recent thing at that. Have an outpost hugging the water 50 meters north from his base. Twice now, going into Sepermaru and no peeps. They took forever to load in. Maybe same thing in the dregs there. Always have those lizards show up. Single player. Weird

A lot of people on official servers like to build large complex staircase, and public map rooms on the North side of Dregs. These large buildings can effect creatures, & resources respawn. I've seen it done at Executioner Entrance. No spiders, Brimstone, or ironstone. But I think the actual Dregs dungeon is instanced in the Northern section of the map, like most other dungeons.

That is good question. And I have never tried. However I would say that other mobs in dungeons do respawn, so there is a good chance the boss will respawn too.

I only ever see the komodos on single player if I finish the dungeon and then instead of exiting there where you kill the final boss you go back out the way you came and they tend to be there when you get back to that first room.

@@AngaarUK that's my theory. A couple times for a variety of reasons after I have killed the boss I have run back out through the entrance. In those cases they have been there when they were not there when I first went through.

@@AngaarUK On singleplayer, I have the best success getting them to spawn in by dropping down from the obelisk. If I have entered the Skulker's End camp proper, they never seem to spawn for me. If ichor is what I'm after, I'll stand at the entrance then relog to make sure they appear, being careful to only alert the fighter who comes to help me open it, without going beyond that.

Farming those for steel etc. Got 5 seeker thralls cooking on the wheels , almost at purge omg. If I don't get the thralls done I have 1 fighter 3 and a bear lol

Skinning knife for the Remnant? Cleave em up for the abyssel flesh. Lot's of critters get +14% str with that icky stuff. Side note, you mentioned the purge in the beginning, wish they massively improved the purge mechanics. So few and weak enemies and then they get hung up on rocks, rocks?!, can't find them sometimes and the clock runs out. I literally have not gotten any buildings damaged, ever. Over a dozen purges so far. Been hit with several lvl 6 purges and still, little to no real challenge. A thrall or 2 at any approach pt is enough to stop them. Which really stinks. A prime motivator for kool defensive builds is that we are going to get attacked. My 1st few builds had layers of defense, fun stuff to do and then....burp Halo's "Firefight" mode should be adopted for the enemies. Waves of relentless attackers who get much much stronger after each set. And double or triple the number of attackers. At a minimum be able to set it at lvl 6 only

I've seen purges that have increased in difficulty. But mostly near named locations. For example "The Summoning Place," or "The Black Keep." These all went from base mobs and ended with one, or two skull bosses. These may be simple today, but a few years ago, these were multi death fights. Meaning a clan of two or more would have to die four or eight times to end a purge successfully.

There is a technique to path mobs around obstacles. I don't know if UE4 utilizes this technology.

This is completely broken on single-player offline with version 1.0..the boss never drops out of the poison pit so you can't even hit the boss unless you use bow for entire fight..this entire game is broken without any updates..no way this game should be 167GB just to update..a complete waist of my 20$

I'm playing on the disk version from 2017..without any updates..so basically the release version of the game..I also can't tame pets or ride mounts..and also playing on the Xbox version..
