Very thorough clear explanation. but I always believed that talus rolls posteriorly in an open chain DF but clearly not I guess... Correct me if I am wrong; essentially, we are looking at the bottom of the talus (right?), so when we raise the toes, that bottom portion of talus rolls slightly anteriorly although the top of the talus runs posteriorly. Regardless,. that is considered an anterior glide, therefore an opposite joint motion force =posterior glide

Role is in the same direction as the mobile bone moves.. Here you have written wrong.(roll is in the opposite direction as the mobile bone moves) . Though you are saying right..

seconded, in the first video it was also mentioned that roll always occurs in the same direction as where the mobile bone moves, so the direction of the roll in this scenario should be anteriorly. great video nonetheless!

definitely it was a mistake in the slide because it really made me confused
