@@SparkyChannel Been in the biz for a little over 40 years, primarily industrial & commercial, with lots of system control/PLC work and big motor-control centers. Retired in '20, but still doing lots & LOTS of side work! Seems it's hard to find "good" electricians these days... none like to do good, clean, quality work anymore - they just slap it together and hope for the best.🫤

Mr. Sparky can you help me? I need to know where can i buy that hand book with exhibit that you’re using in this video
correct answer: yes. a detail I presume is still valid: if the grounding electrode conductor is routed through metallic conduit, it should be bonded to each end of the conduit, because on a high energy fault, the EMF from the fault can interact with the conduit and cause damage to the grounding electrode conductor, if it is not bonded at both ends. where I am, that disconnect and panel would be connected with schedule 40 or 80 PVC, so no bonding bushings needed.
@SparkyChannel11 ай бұрын
Yes, that is true. And yes, I'll be using PVC for the GEC. Much easier and less expensive.

Hey bill, can you make a video on bending COMPOUND 90's... THink it would be a great video..

So to be clear. From the ground bushing lug...does it go straight to the panel or ground the disconnect first then the panel ?

and it's not just about the knockouts, isn't it? any raceway with #4 or up...

I wish they would get rid of knockouts in majority of equipment. I'd rather drill my own all day long
@icevariable96007 ай бұрын
What’s the difference in performance when drilling your own vs using a knockout?
@stevenpersinger65777 ай бұрын
@icevariable9600 I perform better and faster and more efficient and I don't have to worry about bond bushings in eccentric or concentric

@@stevenpersinger6577 you still don’t need a binding bushing for holes you cut out?

I totally agree with you!

I agree with you also. Especially when the eccentric knockouts break apart .
