Many men are unmarried in villages.

Why do you think the government of India has a third system of government at local level? Yes it's true that the social, political, economic and various other factors in India make the village community a weak community and many a times their pleas are not heard. But everyone has the democratic right to protest against lack of basic necessities and also take some actions which the local government is allowed to take on it's own. Imagine the lives of the women who came from a household with atleast basic facilities like water, food, toilets, etc. And now they are married to a family in a some village with these facilities unavailable. IT'S NOT THE FAULT OF MEN, it's the society and the mentality of the people in those villages that believe that they should get women to get water and hence the men do so. It's not the men to blame. It is the society which after so many years still think that the work of man is to only go out and earn money and the work of a woman is to only take care of the house, the children. Instead of polygamy, there are several other ways to solve this problem. I don't care if you think I'm biased towards women or not. Maybe I'm, maybe I'm not. The point here was that women and men are equal. So getting more women to just fetch water means that you're occupationally discriminating. I do not favour women nor do I favour men. This was something I said a human being. Not as a man or woman.
