I was on Madonna show a few years ago, and phones were not allowed during the show, they put them in special blackout cases. It was the best experience, you're actually watch the show not through a screen of your phone.

I don't get to go to many concerts, but I totally agree with you on this.

I think you are right but it also depends on who you see. I went to Kendrick and noticed a lot of people standing and filming but, when I went to go see Bring Me The Horizon, at a venue arguably bigger than the one I saw Kendrick in, everyone was moshing jumping and singing. I tend to prefer Metal shows for this reason.

I am guilty of the excess recording but I started recording less. I went from taking 70 videos to about 20 a concert. I cannot understand how anyone could be messaging people during a performance though.
