Thanks Tim. Love this series. When it rains, can you shoot how the rainwater comes down that hill toward the house? I'm curious as to the drainage on that lot.

I can. Two weeks ago the excavator dug a big diversion ditch to try to capture surface water. Not being geologists, the soil cover is so thin that some/much of the water is going to continue *THROUGH* the sandy soil and work its way to the foundation ignoring the ditch. The proof will be in how much water shoots out of the drain tile pipe down at the street. Did you watch that video I did three days ago????

@@askthebuilder yes. I love this series and I am also concerned as you were about two months ago about the driveway and how these people will get up that driveway in rough weather.

This is a great video and I just learned something new: cut your control joints one fourth the thickness of the slab. I was not aware of a proper joint depth. Thanks for sharing.

That's my intention. I have to make them after everyone has gone home each day. This means as the sun sets earlier, it's going to be a challenge. I may have to do groups of them on weekends. We shall see.

I'm the guy that finished this floor. Waldron Bay off Chemung Rd.

If you did all the flatwork on the job in the lower level, you had some issues with puddles in the living area. Did you see that video? On the garage part, you did a great job except for the final steel troweling by hand of the edges. That shows clearly in the video. Yes, it's a garage, but my guess is if this was your home you would have finished the edges better. We both know it was just a matter of having a second helper there with you for, what, two extra hours?

@askthebuilder I wasn't there to pour or finish the garage. I just finished to the basement section. Another guy did the garage

Great vid, What’s the cost for flat concrete work in your area?
@askthebuilder Жыл бұрын
I have no idea of the cost. It goes up each month. Prices are in the stratosphere. I'm thinking of getting back into building. Based on what I'm seeing, I can make about $4000 a day doing plumbing work.
