For a few decades in Southern Europe, concrete polished floors were all the rage. They looked great, they were incredibly durable, and professional refinishing was cheap. On the downside, original finishing was labour intensive, they were slippery, and they did not insulate temperature or sound well. They were hard; US falls are a lot less painful thanks to cheap, thick smelly shag rugs hastily stapled to flimsy wood subfloors. Now that Euro labour rates have skyrocketed, I think crappy engineered veneers or cheap carpeting are used in newer constructions. Also, air conditioning has become popular, so now people prefer buildings with excellent insulation to contain the cool stale air vs. buildings that quickly dissipate heat at night via open windows and thin walls.

You should skim coat your Prius with concrete then wet polish.

Is it reasonable of me to buy this to grind down 1/2” of concrete in a 200sq ft room or is it too much to ask of this machine? Putting new flooring in and need to level prior to laying laminate. Other option is using self leveler over 1200 sq ft….that’d be a major pain with a high price.

No. This is not your machine for that much removal

Is that an Air hose connection with a control valve on the machine to blow dust away?
