Due to issues with the access of this job. We had to bring in another pump and system to get concrete to the pump that’s at the slab.

Three videos in one day. That's determination to still pour after all the mess leading up too it. I have to admit from what I can see from the video it went well and you guys did a awesome job of pumping. The slab looked good, and the finishing crew had enough guys to handle any problems. That's the way to do it. All in all you got it done, I'm impressed. Beautiful piece of property and view. I was thinking they should have just dumped the concrete out of that first truck on the ground as base for under the road and got it out of the truck. I saw some large boulders off to the side, I wonder why they didn't use them to shore up the sides of the road and rock the top to make it easier for all getting in and out. But we all got to throw our two cents in huh? hahaha. Good day and nice videos, thank you I enjoyed it.

We’ve pumped like this many times before both into the hopper and had system just ran into the back of the placement pump. With some patience and good communication both ways get the slab poured which is the main goal. If we know we’re going to run system into the back of the second pump we’ll always bring our pull behind compressor so if anything crazy happens we can just blow the boom out. You guys killed it! 👍

Could the pump at the street have been tied in to the pump hose / pipe at the bottom of pump 2? Meaning that pump at street did all pumping and pump at pour site just worked boom. Just heard your answer
@lioneljosecastillo4 жыл бұрын
Thats you safest set up right there buddy. I screwed up big time on a similar set up. I had 2 34X Schwings working like this. Stretched one all the way out then added 150 feet worth of 4 inch pipes, then flipped another reducer at the other 34 that was at the pour site and connected it to the deck pipe of that pump, bypssing its pumpkit. Things went great for a few trucks, until they requested a 3 inch slump. First..(and last truck of the job lol) cause the pumpkit on the truck thats pumping to blow a high pressure hose on the diferential cylinders. I guess the pump kit couldnt handle a total of 400 plus feet of combined 5inch and 4 inch pipelines... Thats not the worst part of the day. after reconnecting the deck pipes back to its original hopper, we couldnt get the sponge pulled back although, i was told that, had I placed a sponge at the transition elbow, pumped through about 30 feet worth of water(pushing out some concrete), then sucking another sponge, it woudl have worked, Like I said your set up is the best, no one is doing something their not designed to do.

That road should have a lot of hardcore underneath it not just dirt. Basically, the roadway was too soft because you can see how other trucks had sunk as they had crossed it. An expensive case and no doubt some arguing over who is to blame went on. Interesting video.

AWSOME job by all, getting the builder out of a jamb! That was a tough job for all. I don’t think I would have continued the job, I would have waited for the following day to continue. It’s 3 in the afternoon, more than likely won’t finish pumping till around 5-6? The the finish crew will be there all night babysitting the pour to finish it! All because the builder didn’t want to put the money into building a decent driveway! Install a good base, and put down about 4-6 inches of railroad ballast. All the heavy trucks will press the ballast into the ground, and by the time it’s ready to install the driveway, you will have the best base anyone could ask for. Weather it’s going to be a gravel drive, a little grading and put the finish gravel right on top. Concrete, form and pour fight over top. Asphalt, put some abc down and pour over it. Won’t crack or settle. Bad part is, the builder will eventually put that money into the drive way once the house is near completion. Just tells everyone else, screw you!

@jdjones7524 жыл бұрын
@@rickjames2664 Have you ever tried to back a large truck down a driveway that is only 2-4 feet wider than the width of your vehicle? On a drive that I can all but assure you that is not compacted properly or have the proper slope on the sides. The fact that in the video the truck continued to slide downhill, or the ground settled due to the weight proves this. Keep in mind, a vehicle with very limited visibility out the back, only using his mirrors. Even the best drivers in the world will have difficulty with these conditions. Watch the you tube videos of the dangerous roads and the conditions they drive in. Yes the driver could have asked for spotters, or simply said no. He is ultimately responsible for his truck. But the vast majority of the blame does lie with the contractor who only wants to do the minimum to make the most profit. Or the homeowner who only wants to pay the least.

@concretejungle774 жыл бұрын
its going to depend a lot if the curb release was signed on the ready mix ticket, if the driver didn't have anyone sign it I could be mistaken but I think its the ready mix fault at that point.

The 1st mixer truck AND the pumping truck (which looks bigger) made it in fine and without issue. 2. Did you not risk assess the road? 3. If you did and decided it was too dangerous or a rollover risk then why did you still do it??? Really any truck that had to go on there should have refused until they made the road adequate but 1 truck goes on then drivers have their pride and the mentality 'well he got on/in/through there so I should be able to'

I have been on sites and have stopped this from happening at least 7 or 8 times , if the road is not great FFS just put a banksman in place to get the trucks in,end of problem and a bill of €50000 thousand or more.

@@evasioncancel3359 or put in crane mats the crane mats would be strengthened the road some especially if you use 16 foot crane mats

So is that truck totalled? That plus recovery = expensive day.

I gotta ask, what was the outcome for the driver? Did he lose his job?
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping3 жыл бұрын
I’m really not sure
@rodlister30984 жыл бұрын
Not sure the driver just didnt start dumping the concrete over on the high side before it went over. Might have saved it.

Million dollar home. Zillion dollar view. $2 road. Road repair with a light weight track vehicle. I would have left my pump on site and charged GC DAILY until road was sufficiently compacted. On a military base right before the Gulf War 2. Military was discussing locking the base down for at least 30 days. Submitted invoice for lost equipment usage. Decision not to lock base down but Uncle Sam would have paid.

That sounds good in theory. But GC is also Jeff's customer. We all know the more you charge a customer the less like they are to use you again. And bad mouth you to everyone in the trades. Sometimes you have to suck it up and move on to the next one.

That's a job you leave to the lackey nephew.... he's just going to get high, put the full face mask on, bluetooth muffs on, and you won't see him for 3 days... ;)

If you ever have to do it again and you decide to hook directly to the pipe line have the hopper of the pump your piggy backing into full of water then if something happens or your ready to wash up you just pump the hopper completely down or suck the ball back

I hope they did a better job on site prep than they did on that POS road! We had a cement truck sink in on a 10 year old established road bed. You can never be too careful!
