Everyone DOES get hurt when tables are thrown! I have a friend who got hit by a folding chair and one of the screw literally ripped a piece of meat out of his forehead area. We had to pick it up and bring it with us to the ER. So much was gone you could actually see a part of his skull. It was so fucking metal!

The mannequin head the bad guy is working on in the beginning I think is supposed to be Ethan's likeness. This game was great in it's time, guns have limited ammo, enemies are ruthless and actually put the fight/flight feeling in you. The 2nd game did fail to live up to the original, It would be great if someone could remaster or make a new one in the same vein as this one.

I don't know anything about the second game, but I remember this game getting really stupid near the end. Also, just in general, it was pretty repetitive. It's good that it didn't go on too long. A minor point that also bugged me is that you cannot carry spare ammunition for guns. I.e., if you have a shotgun with one shell in it, and you find one with seven shells in it, you can either drop the first and pick up the second, or just keep going until you use the last shell in the first one and then run back. There's no way to just take that last shell out and pocket it or load it in the other shotgun. It's one of the dumber gameplay issues I've seen in a modern game.

Apologies for intruding on this conversation but you're both right in some ways, however I've had people try to mug me before and after using both I'd say the Pepper spray is your best bet because of the range and duration, but the stun gun is a perfect backup especially if you're on the run. The shock not only incapacitates them but also messes with their judgement and senses for a while afterward, So you know...

I don't know the control scheme of this game, but that's an idea I've been thinking of for quite some time because it doesn't make sense for you to be able to save all of the bullets without increased reload time, but it also doesn't make sense for you to lose all of the bullets and have plenty of time to reload.

WhiteMexHD Simple and clean rendering with no normal maps high res textures and good modelling. If were talking horror games Silent Hill 2,3,4. Silent Hill 1 is my favorite out the series as a game. I don't like visibility to be obstructed by too many stupid effects. I always disable stuff like motion blur, bloom, depth of field, color correction and anything that makes an image less sharp or crisp. It's the aesthetics that makes the look of the game. Condemned has some of the ugliest models I've seen in a game. Especially considering it uses the same engine used in FEAR which came before this and that game had better models. Not to mention the gameplay in condemned makes no logical sense.
