He “relished” in his moment in the spotlight? You guys think you’re amusing. Well, I’m here to inform you that you are, so congratulations on that. Since this came out on April Fools Day, and this is Condiment King we’re talking about adding to a very serious and grounded reimagining of the Batman universe, I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The fact that GiantPandaKing was able to take a character intended to be a gag and turned him into a serious look at a sad aspect about lower class factory workers is impressive. Mayo’s quest to rise above his lowly position at the company he works for actually says something about some workplaces and how some companies can sometimes end up wasting the lives of their employees. Him seeing people work themselves into their graves over a job that they clearly don’t want is a really tragic thing that sadly happens a lot in the real world. And this is still Condiment King we’re talking about! How did GiantPandaKing actually make this guy an interesting character!? How!? Anyway, I also thought this was an interesting scheme for Condiment King. Honestly, I’d like to see him try something like this in the mainstream comics. I’d prefer it if it’d be in a more lighthearted story, but it’s still a decent villain scheme that can lead to a good investigation story. Condiment King usually is only portrayed as dangerous if you’re allergic to one of his condiments or you slip on them, but this was an interesting and effective way to make him a little dangerous and clever. I liked that we saw Batman again, and he did some detective work. Sometimes in this series, especially this season when the Shadow War is coming and characters who operate a lot outside Gotham and haven’t interacted with Batman yet, Batman can occasionally be pushed to the side for a while. So I was glad to see him back. And that gag at the end about how Condiment King will not return in the Shadow War was hilarious. Honestly, I’m not too sad that he won’t return. I actually kind of like Condiment King, at least in an ironic sense, but I think he needs to be used sparingly to keep him entertaining. If he pops up every other month the gag runs thin rather quick and he can become an annoying running gag. Which is why it’s good that he doesn’t appear much in the comics. And even though I like this version, this specific version of Condiment King is somewhat limited in what he could do without it getting repetitive. I’m not sure where you would take him from here. The comedic version from the comics has more longevity, so I suppose you could make him closer to that, but I personally wouldn’t. This version’s serious nature and interesting observations of factory workplaces is what makes it interesting, and turning him into a joke would probably ruin that. I’m glad his story ended here. So I guess I just wrote a mini-essay on the Condiment King. Or a full essay, I don’t know how long this is. Either way, congratulations to you and GiantPandaKing for giving me the opportunity to actually think about the Condiment King for more than five seconds. It was an interesting experience, although I don’t know if it’ll happen again. Either way, this was an enjoyable episode.

Excellent! It seems that the Condiment King took a tip from "The Hound of the Baskervilles" ("As you value your life and your reason, stay away from the moor.") The Batman--probably, the world's greatest Sherlock Holmes fan--immediately noticed this literary inspiration and not only deduced the source of the stains on the note but profiled Mayo as another intellectual archfoe. Mayo didn't know which side his bread was buttered on and put himself into a real pickle! There were more holes in this crime spree than in Swiss cheese and the Bat saw that his opponent was out to lunch!
