NOTE: In the first conditional you can use any type of present (present simple, perfect or continuous) followed by future (will, shall, present continuous), a modal or an imperative: -If you have finished you homework, you can go out and play. Present perfect + modal -If you are going to the party, I'm going too P. continuous + P. continous. -If you are going to the party, I may go too P. continuous modal -If you hit the TV with a hammer, it may break P. simple + modal -If you' finished you dinner, go to your room P. perfect + imperative If this have helped you, please give it a like ;)

I'm glad you found the lesson helpful, Vanessa. I've been thinking about making a website with extra exercises for each lesson. Let me suggest a quick correction in your comment - "If I were you, I would..." is an expression used to give advice. To make requests, it's better to use "I would appreciate it if...", "It would be great if..." or "It would be very helpful if..." etc. :)

Thank you sir. It was really helpful. Somewhere on the internet I saw a clipping, the title was "if it were not filmed, no one would believe it." As per my opinion, it is third conditional sentence. The correct title should be "if it had not filmed, no one would have believed it." Am I right teacher? Please suggest.
@LearnEnglishLab
@LearnEnglishLab 7 жыл бұрын
You're almost correct, Reena. The condition should be a third conditional: "If it had not _been_ filmed..." because it refers to the past. But the result can be a second conditional because it refers to the present: "no one would believe it." So the full sentence is: "If it hadn't been filmed, no one would believe it." This type of sentence is called a _mixed conditional._ See this lesson - *MIXED CONDITIONALS:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/d367gWiAm7yqrKs :)
