Yes, it has a few challenges with the visas as not having a retirement visa yet, but the cost of living is insanely cheaper than western countries, especially the U.S. I'm guessing you are here, haha

@@MichaelSeanOBrien The Philippines is almost the worst in the world. 🌎. Haha. The big cities is all I know. Both Thailand and Vietnam are really reliable and fast now. Although in Vietnam they have some trouble with storms that affect the wifi a bit sometimes. Overall Thailand is a bit better

Hello, I am a newly retired, single, 66 year old American on Social Security who is searching for good places to stay when I go to S.E. Asia. I have questions for you about Vinhomes Grand Park. Q1.) There is obvious appeal to be in a new, clean, safe, modern, planned development with all amenities like Vinhomes Grand Park, but is the hour distance from Saigon an advantage, or disadvantage? Is going to Saigon for day trips better than being in the middle of town? Q2.) Do you use the 90 day visa for your residence? I think that would be my best option. Please give me your opinion. Q3.) If I do the 90 day visa, can I realistically rent at Vinhomes Grand Park? Would I be able to make border runs without any problems from Vietnam's immigration department? Q4.) Do you know if Vinhomes rents month to month?

@@woody3167 Hi Woody. Great questions. If you like going out to bars more than once a week. Or you’re an active guy wanting to date, see the sites. Vinhomes Central Park is a great place 10-20 minutes to all the action. I rented there on tourist visas. If you like I can pass on my real estate gal there. If you want to save 1/2 on rent or more now. The prices have dropped this year. Still have a really modern place to live. Grand Park is it. Month to month is actually available through a local agent. I know one in both places. Higher costs of course. But cheaper than airbnb. I use 90 day visas.

@@johniepatterson3746 They pay local taxes. Not federal taxes, right? I rarely go there in Vietnam. Vietnamese coffee is the best I’ve ever had in my travels.

@@claudejohnson6532. If you have a bachelors degree it’s very straightforward. If you don’t it can still be done. It’s an advantage if you are from an English first country. Big plus. Most places require a Tefl or Tesol degree. I got mine online for 30-40 dollars. 150 hours. Took me about 70 hours to study. It’s great help also if you don’t have experience. I have heard from many people it’s easier to come here and look in the country. They’ll know your serious about coming here. But be careful about who you work for. Some schools or services will scam you. Not pay, etc. Check Google reviews. Great luck. Vietnam pays better and more serious students
