I admire her perspective on the MeToo movement, but let's not forget that she is a war criminal who played a key role in executing the Bush administration's illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and lied about Saddam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction. She, along with other war hawks in the Bush administration, is responsible for authorizing the torturing and/or killing of millions of innocent Iraqis and Afghans.

Condoleezza Rice is a reason that DeSantis wants White children not to learn the history of how badly enslaved Africans and African Americans were treated by White people, before and after the American Revolution. Condoleezza Rice said that White children should not feel badly about what happened to Black people. Therefore, she is saying that it’s okay for Black people to feel badly about what happened to Black people, because that’s how Black children feel when Black children learn about Black history. Search for the KZbin video called “Florida town, students resist letting state’s war on Black history be forgotten. At 0:17, DeSantis reminds me of Hitler. He surrendered himself with White children, and their signs say “PROTECT CHILDREN,” but not one of the children are African American. DeSantis has an evil agenda. Therefore, Americans must vote against DeSantis. ☝🏽👩🏽🦱🇺🇸

The only issue I have with it, is that behavioral mores have changed over the last 60 years. You can't change the past. You can change the future. If you want to correct behavior, look for changes you can make that help people see your side. Pointing fingers at bad behavior from 50 years ago or calling out names for behaviors considered normal at the time may undermine the message. People who broke the law should be punished, and if found guilty should pay for their crimes, however long ago it was. No one should be above the law.

The big issue is that 99% of men and women can get along just fine and know if they are being a jerk or not. But when 1% deal with microaggressions and find harm in "unwanted language", it does put a chill in place because everyone knows they'll run into that person sometime and they won't want to lose their job or have the Scarlett Letter social media badge blast them forever. Just the appearance or accusation is often enough to ruin a life.

Even doing it but not wanting to is classified as assault by these morons. Men are opting out of marriage and dating at higher rates now, there's even a small movement over that. Eventually men are going to start saying "no thanks" to women in general. At this point in time women are causing more trouble than what they are worth.

Same applies in reverse for idiot feminazis who refuse to talk to men except to tell them they're scum or some BS unless men are constantly kissing their asses. Another aspect that is worrying is how the MeToo movement can be taken too far by certain individuals and be used by those individuals as effective ways of taking revenge or settling the score with people whom they just simply don’t like. I am disappointed when I hear a certain male being denounced and/or dismissed with immediate effect just because a woman (or man) claims that he has been inappropriate to her once many years ago and no concrete legal evidence is even provided. It seems that the MeToo movement is now so robust that women can just eliminate whomever they want without even showing proof or evidence. This is not on. Women deserve respect and recognition and should in no way feel intimidated either at work or at home, but men also deserve respect and self-worth and should not be used as dartboards for women to vent their anger. Sexism/misogyny is totally reprehensible in the modern world, but going the other way is also not on. Let’s work for a society where men and women can work together and negotiate with one another in harmony and with reason.

Condoleeza Rice is about the last person women should take advice from, and the least qualified to give it. She's such a champion of women, especially black women, that she spent a considerable amount of time gaslighting us on air about "acts of genocide" and how that's not fully genocide, while we all sat back and allowed every horror against women that you can ever imagine. She believes in womens rights when it's suits us, and human rights only if it's our rights we are talking about.

There are degrees of lies, and the way republicans are covering for trump it appears some are treasonous liars, as compared to sellout lying corporate liars. Some are taking money from russia, or other bad influences, and have zero morality whatsover. This false equivalency shit is part of the whole problem. Someone like warran or sanders who has always written legislation and pushed issues to protect the little people, is way different from someone like clinton who would be a sellout liar of typical political persuasion, then there is republican leadership and their owners, and the media their owners own. That last group is out to destroy the country and steal it out from under everyone, one repossesed home and one bubble crash, and one nazi uprising at a time, kill everyone with climate change denial, or kill everyone with oil spills or kill everyone with nuclear taunting, whatever works.
@jimbob30307 жыл бұрын
If you don't think the me2 movement is not all part of the same opression and manipulation and division used to divide and rule, it's because you are one of the simpletons. You need to be more observant, and less of a dick. There is a big problem with republican leadership, way bigger than the normal problems with dem leadership. Treason and trying to submarine the country on purpose is not in any way comparable to corruption as usual in washington.

Thats a legit concern: most men and women can get along just fine and know if they are being a jerk or not. But when 1% deal with microaggressions it does put a chill in place But people are individuals. Everyone has characteristics that can make them easier or harder to work with. Why do we have to put them into buckets about gender/race/age? There are so many factors that affect who a person is. But I get it because people tend to judge based on their own experiences. Do employers now have to have e-quest to hire foreigners? Do you call or contact foreign references?
@terrybruce59237 жыл бұрын
People self segregate these days...the term African-American is the best example....is not true unless they were born in Africa and legally immigrated...then a hyphenated identity is legitimate. Women don't want equality, they want preferential treatment...so that negates equality. I would never meet with a woman alone...or I leave my door open. A lot of employers hire less women...and see them as predators. References are not easy, because they can get friends to pretend to be a Senior Manager to certify them...so we actually verify the references first. Generally, we don't need to hire foreign born people...but do so in specialized areas. Now many companies have extended the probation period to a year. The college grad SJW types have made things difficult on themselves...all of this is backfiring on the progenitors of manufactured issues.

Hey wait a minute Mrs, Rice, do I detect a hint of the overused mantra of " women's perogative" double standarddom in your vague, generalized response to the questioner? I guess its a comfortable, easy out to speak in such a casual forked-toungue manner when you said - "let's not make women into snowflakes' and 'lets not infantilize women." Mrs. Rice, at this point, who is the audience you are addressing at that moment when you are using that phrasology to describe the state of women? Such an easy way to not take a hit from anyone on what you said, huh? Doesn't work for me. When you have a movement such as the #Metoo movement that prides itself on exposing themselves and putting themselves out on Social Media, then I haved the right to respond to it in whatever way I feel and however way I feel. I see women exactly as they are acting and I don't need Mrs. Rice acting as my surrogate Mother to tell me " to not do something" when in actuality, the very thing she is telling her listeners to watch out for- whatever audience she is speaking to - she is actually infanilizing my own intelligence by trying to play the surrogate Mother to everyone. I'll make the decision how I feel about the whole thing, on my own terms, thank you very much. I don't need to be reminded by you Mrs. Rice to "Not to do something", because I don;t need to do anything, when these women themselves in the movement are making themselves victims and potential objects of derision everytime they cry wolf about the big bad wolves out there. This piece is not intended to be a critique on the #MeToo movement - that would take a long OP-ED article for me to get into that subject; I'm just nerely focusing on the words that Mrs. Rice used to address the Mystery audience that I'm still puzzled as to who she is referencing to. In my opinion, if these women in the movement feel that they have been legitimately abused and taken advantage of, then, before anything else, they should go directly to the Police and report it instead of rounding up the troops on Social Media, as a means for them to build up their nerve or garner as much support from any fans who will emphathize with them about their plight. I'm honestly not interested in hearing everyones sob story - the mass media already does a infamously great job at heavily bombarding us with death, destruction and dark intrigue in our faces and psyche everyday, Ladies, please keep your secrets to yourself, I don't need to hear everyone's personal tragedies - I have enough of my own.

Lol after all of human history women get the treatment they deserve, but a few months of recognition and awareness is too much🤔🤣 She'll be clarifying/revising/apologizing shortly.

smartest woman so far... Some guys deserve to be punished, cuz they r over the top. But most guys are good and they just want to show interest. Now even complimenting a coworker or taking an interest is dangerous

Is there any lesson to learn how to gay?.cause that's what most of the men are going to be if women dont start to separate violence from courtship.

The pendulum is already swinging the other way , in the last decades women had it good by having literal male slaves at the office ready to grab coffee tolerate their mood swing and whatever . Now i see dudes hanging out amongst each other and anytime a female is around you can feel the tension

I hate how he changes the topic when she says she doesn't want it to get to the point where men start to think maybe its better not to have women around. I was hoping he would dig deeper into that but instead he changes the topic to talk about Oprah. so annoying.

I have never met Ms Rice, so what I have to say does not really mean a whole lot. What I do like about her is the ability to stand on her own merits; having the courage of her convictions.

Condoleezza Rice seems to be suggesting that we need to tone down the discussion on sexual harassment because some men may not hire women. Instead of not hiring women, why not get rid of sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace. Don't remove the women from the work place. Remove those who are really causing the problem...the sexual harassers.

That's not what she's saying though. She's saying that it wouldn't be good for all men to become afraid of interacting with women for fear of misunderstandings and such, making them afraid of being around women, and maybe wanting to limit the number of women around.

blueBlackpurple According to liberals, a woman can wear a blouse cut as low it can go and call a man sexually harassing her if he dares look at her boobs.

Jasper Kamphuis In fairness to her, I would have to ask Condoleezza Rice what she would suggest be done to address the real problem of sexual harassment and assault in the workplace before I could assess her thoughts on this matter. She said that men may not hire women. I would be curious to know what Condoleezza Rice's suggestions would be on how to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace and how she feels about men not hiring women to avoid the issue of sexual harassment. Based on her answers I could then critique what I thought of her views. My thoughts on the idea of men not hiring women to avoid the issue of sexual harassment are that it shows a lack of strong leadership skills and people skills. Any real leader who owns a business should have the courage to address tough issues in a fair and effective way instead of cowardly avoiding them. Only a weak leader who lacks courage and skill would avoid the sexual harassment issue by not hiring women. It takes a strong, mature, courageous leader to deal with this issue in a fair and constructive way.

Jasper Kamphuis one thing I don't hear anyone talking about is refusing to hire men to avoid sexual harassment in the workplace. Since statistically speaking men are more likely to be the harasser than women are, it would make more since to not hire so many men if avoiding sexual harassment was the goal.

as a woman, i don’t know a man alive who hasn’t been the recipient at some point, of some sexist comment or assumption by a woman. So many times I’ve seen women expect men to pay the check, lifth the heavy load, do the dirty job, even hold the door. As well as the stereotypes.

I'm not an American and even if I were, I would very likely not be a republican voter. I was also not necessarily a fan of the Bush administration's politics, but I do have a very sincere respect and regard for Condoleeza Rice. She is highly intelligent and even in this video, you can see that she has more than the average dose of common sense. It's a shame that she doesn't run for President, but what she says makes sense. A person who knows their limitations, is someone who is capable of growing. Credit where credit is due. The USA is lucky to have this lady, even though like me, you may disagree with her politics.
