My Condor gear has never failed. It's bulky, it's heavy, it's sometimes awkward, but it isn't going to fall apart

One thing people don't realize about condorr is that it works relatively well, is cheap, and can always be upgraded to something else and then used for buddy gear.

I use condor chest rigs, love them. Never had a problem with any of them, going on 6 years on my oldest. Plate carriers, I went with an HRT Tactical, but I had specifics I was looking for (modular placards, multi role, one to do it all) and they came highly recommended (and interchanged with my guys). Overall I’d say Condor makes good products.

They sent me a replacement recon chest rig because the one I got first had a strap hanging on by 1/4 of an inch and some unstitching by the straps on the corners. They sent me a new one but this one seems to have some loose stitching on the corners of the straps just from adjusting the straps . Is this ok or will it hang on , or not ?
@christianward67872 ай бұрын
@@JR-ld1ethit any and all loose or fuzzy stitches with the bic lighter and I bet you’ll do that again in a couple months and then you’ll forget to do it and you’ll be surprised how long that thing might last. Mileage may vary depending on usage .

I’ve got quite a mix of gear; Milsurp, condor, safelife, eberlestock… I buy gear depending on my likely use. Fact is, it’s pretty unlikely that I’ll need to “kit-up” at any point, so I’m not spending $50 on a single HSGI pistol mag pouch. Id rather put the coin towards food, ammo, first aid, and other preps.

I buy and use some Condor stuff...its fine. I also have some items I purchased that cost a little more. thing is, even the more expensive stuff can have flaws. Get gear that works for you and fits in your budget. I also believe one should be versed in being able to use a needle and thread to fix their gear. Its not the gear that brings us together....it is the values and beliefs we all have that brings us together.

I don’t know about their plate carriers but, I wear the Condor Cipher pants almost exclusively. I have NINE pairs of them, 3x in three different colors (grey/khaki/brown). I wear them to church, to Walmart, to the park with the kids, to the mall with my nieces, to the range, to dates with Tinder. I have worn them out on spot & stalk bowhunts and even climbing up a couple of 14’s in Colorado etc etc. I have never been told anything derogatory or bad about these pants…IF they said anything, it’s been that they look nice or cool or something like that. Get some. You won’t regret it.

I have the MPOC carrier, 4 of the chest rigs, belts, drop leg units, and a lot of pouches - no problems so far. Not that I do all the stuff you may do, but for my purposes, they are excellent - good looking stitches, comfortable, and color is consistent.

The cheapest Condor plate carrier you can get is still miles beyond stuff Soviet paratroopers were using in the late 80's which were basically just straps with double layered and double stitched heavy canvass with pockets in it. I've got the Condor cyclone carrier with a 3x m4/pistol kangaroo pouch on the front and two Condor pistol magazine pouches on my belt and never had a single tear or threadbreak or anything.

I make enough money to buy any plate carrier I want but I refuse to throw money away by buying overly priced items. I have multiple condor rigs - like you I have made my own adaptations. One of my rigs has seen many hours on the ground and has been hosed off multiple times and is still ready to rally. I also have some high speed Beez Combat Systems gear - it is lighter, more mission specific, and is well engineered for a lot more money. That said my go-to is the old broken in Condor.

I owned a GEN 1 MOPC in MC. No issues. AT ALL. Used it for training while on Active Duty and never had any real issues. I now own a GEN 2 MOPC in Black. Same thing. No issues and I train with it. As long as you keep your gear clean and up to par. No real issues. If you’re worried about it falling apart. Take it to a seamstress and have it double or triple stitched. All of that other pricey stuff is really for door kickers who do this religiously. As a civilian your not fighting taliban or seal team 6. Like be for real for when you get this stuff and what you’ll be using it for. Also awesome video!

Great video and so true about Condor vs. "Mil-Spec" products, also the buckle mod that you did for the vanquish cummerbund front attach is spot on, not only for fit, but additionally to help keep the sides of the front flap from catching any branches/rocks/etc. while up-right or in the prone position. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and your family.

Thank you!!!! I try to talk to guys all the time and tell them to work within your means. I'm not gonna tell you don't by a JPC if you have the money but you need to ask yourself "do I need this". I've been rocking a Condor since 2014 with their Sentry. Not great but is a good option if you're looking to a PC to work out it. I made the switch to a MOPC in 2015. Been using one ever since with hsgi mag pouches and steel from CATI. I use their LCS gun belt. I love it as I'm not a fan of two piece belt systems. I also have their 3 day assault pack. Great pack for the money. Find the best economical option for you and go train.

I will say this. I used a lot of condor gear a long time ago before I didn't know anything. I used to do a lot of airsoft, for like 15 years. Went through a lot of gear and used quite a bit of condor gear as well. It's ... Fine. BUT. It kind of falls into 2 things. So, first of all, at least back in the day they did have a lot more QC issues, so the shit you got back them generally wasn't as good or consistent. I had a GP/Utility pouch that was fine, my buddy got one and it wasn't even cut right. Like the pouch flap wasn't even level. Sticthing was awful, and if I remember correctly he had some issues with the velcro. That stuff happened A LOT. Nowadays it's a lot better. But that said, I don't use it because I have actual big boy stuff w/ my AVS and other things. BUT it's not terrible. If I had the money, would I choose condor vs other brands. Most definitely I would pick something over condor. Why? 2 reasons, first of all Condor is made overseas. So, if I can buy something American made I will. If you want to continue supporting China who's only going to take us over in 15 years, go ahead. But that's not for me. Point #2, you have NO idea what their shit is made out of 99% of the time. They always just say "Made with nylon " or "Made with durable nylon". If it was 500D, 600D, 1000D, whatever... They would say it. But they don't. So, what is it made out of? IMO it's probably the cheapest stuff you can get. I've had condor pouches rip and fail when (Personally) I thought they shouldn't. They do wear out a lot quicker and just aren't up to long term use. I've NEVER had a condor pouch last more than ... 2 or so years with not even high use (I used to go airsofting 2-3 times a week and would airsoft for generally 4 or so hours when I was there). Does it matter for me, no. I don't even own any condor pouches anymore. Everything I have is Crye, Spiritus, Ferro, etc. Not to sound like I'm trying to flex but my point is this. All the "real shit" so to speak hasn't failed me and I've LITERALLY abused them. I've been running them harder than I ever did any of my airsoft shit. I've been drug around in it - and I'm fat af. I've gone swimming with them. Most recently I was out doing winter survival classes and training last month in 5-10F weather for 4 days and had 0 issues. Would my condor pouches hold up after all that? I know for A FACT it would not have. Now, is it worth the price I can't say for you. For my AVS, you could have ... Probably 10 - 20 condor setups. But I definitely don't have that much space or time. But if you don't have the money, I would say it's fine getting condor shit (If you don't mind supporting Chyna) - just don't think it's "jUsT aS gOoD". Have realistic expectations and when your shit does fail/break make sure you have some backups.

For several years now, I've been using RTS Tactical and AR500Armor plate carriers. They're a bit more expensive than Condor, but I have a LOT of gear that's Condor, including hydration bladders & covers. I ignore the tacti-snobs who call Condor "airsoft cosplay material". They overlook how durable this is. I have TQ and IFAK pouches made by Condor and they have yet to fail. Bottom line, if you're on a very limited budget, go with Condor's MOPC and Botach's armor plates.
@TAVAAR73 жыл бұрын
I've got a bunch that is and a bunch that isn't. Does my condor hold up/work as well as the stuff thats not? No it doesn't. Does it hold up/work well for its price? Yes it does. Does the degree to which it holds up/work compared to other gear outperform the price difference? Also yes. Thus I have both, price per performance condor is hard to beat, especially if you're planning on beating up gear or having a loaner/back up set. Another brand of "airsoft" gear that I've been impressed by for its performance/price ratio compared to others is Emerson gear. If you like HSGI tacos check their pouches too as a back up set to test out. They come with shock cord retainers too (you can take them off easy if you want but I actually like them).

We do not talk about doing mean things to others on YT right? Something to consider is as a person that will not be "deployed" to do the airsoft things be realistic. One may kit up and practice with all the most expensive airsoft kit ony to a. Never use it in a real airsoft environment or b. Only need it less than a handful of times with normies in airsoft and c. Be in a situation where the amount invested doesn't improve odds, say an overwhelming/surprise encounter with superior airsoft opposition or tactics. That being said having a rig that will project strength to normies in an unstable IRL environment would not necessarily be a bad thing.
