I bought the gen 1 several years ago. Judging by this video, I am impressed with the changes. Especially with the sides sagging when loaded down. The new lacing adjustment system seems awesome. However I would start from the bottom so that the excess string wouldn't come out of the bottom. Overall I would probably buy this gen 2 when my gen 1 wears out. But Condor makes such a durable product that it will take awhile!

Bought this for my brother this Christmas, and it's a good starting point for his first kit. One point I like to add is that the cummberbund has space for soft body inserts, but the side plates are seperate. I love the addition of having the mag inserts and the soft body armor coverage is a step in the right direction.

Jeez, I must have a gen 0 then. I bought mine back in the end of 2013 and mine doesn't have molle on the shoulder straps or the loops for hydration/comms on the shoulder straps either. Crazy I've had this thing for almost 8 years already.

i did the same, but bought mine back in like 2009 and it was junk, the velcro interface was stronger than the stitching so id go to pull up on the velcro and it would just tear at poorly stitched seams. condor makes good stuff, and maybe i got a knock off condor (holy crap thats pathetic), but my MOPC was junk. still have it for the neighbors grandma if she needs kit during shtf lol. the sentry plate carrier i got off the Rogue website is much better quality.

Sadly no it doesn't. It just has the capability to add soft armor.

no, they'll move back and forth and will fall out if you jump or roll.
