Thanks Ryan for the video. I'm not too familiar with this knife, but it sure seems up to the task.

It's a good knife. But the music and mountain are even better. 😁👍

Without a wilderness to explore, I don’t have any need of a knife-so I like to keep it all together in my videos.

@@AdventureRyan I understand 😁. Dave Pearson makes 45 minute video's with his son of them both making coffee in the woods. 🤷‍♂

Terrasaur or Mora Bushcraft, which would you choose?

Hmm…this comparison might be worth a video of its own! Both knives are great and have a lot in common. You couldn’t really go wrong with either one. But each knife has its subtle details that make it unique. Personally, I prefer the more simplified ergonomics of the terrasuar’s handle but the mora bushcraft is far more secure in hand and very grippy even when wet. The terrasaur handles okay when wet, but you have be a lot more careful. I also like that the terrasaur has the full tang. This is arguably unnecessary as my mora bushcraft has held up just fine, but again, personally-for me-I like my knives just a little overbuilt. Weather resistance goes to the mora. I really like the DLC treatment and it’s held up well so far. But again, in hand, I prefer the feel of the terrasaur. If you look at the knife’s overall profile from a side view you see the mostly horizontal line of the blade spine that continues along the top of the handle. I find this give me good awareness of where the blade is as I’m using it. The mora is very similar, but because of the handle is built up over that horizontal line of the blade spine and has a subtle arch to it. This makes it very comfortable in hand because it fills the palm, but I find it places the blade lower than what I like. This is very subtle, but again, comparing these two knives is all about what is subtle. One final difference of note is that while both knives have a slight drop toward the tips of their blades, the mora does it by creating an angle and the condor does it with a gradual slope. Both bring the tip down about the same relative to the knife’s center, but i really had to pick between there’s VERY subtle design options, I’d go with the gradual slope of the condor simply because it’s just another thing that helps me have good awareness of where that tip is. This is a very slight difference between the two, but using both knives quite a bit, this is where opinion current stands. Both knives are great and both are similar in price. Very similar sheaths even. I suppose the biggest differences are the full tang of the terrasaur and the very grippy handle of the mora bushcraft.

@AdventureRyan very thoughtful response. Maybe the script for the video is done 😆. I asked as I figured you have both, and it's a great way to reference your view of the Condor. It's great to have such good options at this price, both seem excellent

I agree. They’re both great knives for there intended purpose. And yes, thanks for helping me write my script-haha!

I had both. I do prefer the Bushcraft. Main reason ; more grippy, the Terrasaur is slick in the handle and nearly no guard. You have to watch that when using it. Though good knife in general. Nowadays I'm all Mora Companion carbon (2mm thickness), Mora Pro C , and Hultafors HVK GH. I like the handles grippy. But for longer cutting of wood, the handle of the Terrasaur might give you less chance of friction/blisters.

@Ve-suvius Nice choices. It's hard to beat Moras with thin blade stock scandis. I still prefer a 511 or 546 over, say a Robust, especially as camp/companion knives. They remain favorites even though I have far more expensive knives
