Moving a light in a small nail salon.
Who’d have thought it singles in conduit. Amazing.
Premature collapse and mains cable to short.
Rcd tripping during loop test because I had the neutral croc on the bar rather than on the top of the rcd along with the live/line conductor. Big enough to leave the good bad and ugly in.

Chris, love the fact that you are man enough to show mistakes (which we all have, we are humans after all) and it makes it more real. This time though you seemed more upset about the nay sayers and the trolls than I've seen before. Everyone is an 'expert' on here but nobody is actually on your particular job, and we all know that real life ain't always perfect. Please don't let them grind you down, and keep up the great work and excellent videos that you do :) Headcam rocks!

Hiya son... when I started hammer drills/ battery drills weren't invented. Rawl tool was the thing, a fluted round metal chisel, a drill with straight flutes, hold in hand & hit with a hammer, Rawl tool not hand but the number of days I went home with a bruised hand from making deep holes & the tool was not long, so yes, you always hit hand! Up a ladder, outside in cold/snow... foreman yelling at you for being slow!!! You don't know your born as my granddad used to say... lol. His last words to me were, "Stop shaking this ladder!" I learned in the 70's about 200 years ago... It's great to learn what's changed, your films are very good, keep up the great work please... Stay safe... Steve...

Thank you for the info on the click rose. My parents moved into a house 21 years ago with one of these just randomly on the ceiling and never knew what it was as the plug part had been taken, the family before my parents bought the house had fitted display cabinets so I’m guessing that’s what they used it for, and also I love the headcam footage. Much more detail included with it 👍

If the water is bonded in the house and as long as it is copper all the way then I don't think it does need a bond, would have to double check, I means always best to bond anyway.. With that short SWA I would disconnect from board, pull through duct to a wiska box on bottom corner of outbuilding then run another bit of SWA from the wiska box to the consumer unit.. Good job..

So I went on the screwfix website to buy some 20mm conduit and 2no 1way tower box used in this video, in the description it says only intended for indoor use…. I’m guessing it’s stated only indoor use as it’s not a completely sealed unit even with the rubber seal on the inspection cap because it has the hole to allow the connection of 20mm conduit. If I use this 1 way box and use PVC cement on the joints to make a water tight connection am I right in saying this will be more than adequate for outdoor use?

@ARElectrics
@ARElectrics 4 жыл бұрын
Try another brand of conduit that might help. The type of installation would fall under C - Cables in a non metallic conduit. And what happened with the main water bond - As we have to record it on minor works? Regarding the RCD tripping times we are supposed to record the highest reading of the 5x results. As this is the most important reading which has to be below 40ms. If you had a high reading on 1x at above 40ms but below 300ms, anyone looking at the certificate would assume it isnt tripping within the value. The certificate doesnt state which reading it is. It isnt very clear. But I was always under the understanding it had to be the highest of 5x. Another tidy job though 👍🏼 nothing wrong with twin in conduit.

Nice work pal, here’s my 2 cents worth. Why not rewire the lights to eliminate any joints? And to save your bending spring the wire is supposed to pass through the inside of the spring so when you remove the spring from the conduit it reduces the chances of stretching the spring Good work
