Speaking of the vase of flowers, at first i thought it was peecock feather. At any rate it turned out very pretty. Some people like yourself are very talented and surprising 👍well done.

Hi. Another successful outcome. I especially love the mugs with the horses and also the bowl you showed at the end. The tiles are lovely as well. I live in Australia, so I'm guessing postage for anything would be fairly expensive if you took orders from this part of the world.

I have shipped to Australia before. It took 9 weeks by surface mail. If you send the postal code I can get you a quote. Thanks.

I just checked with Canada Post, you can go on the web site yourself and put in my post code B0R1C0 and you will see several options, the cheapest is surface small packet, which takes 9weeks, at $27CA. That is for 1 mug. Let me know.

@@Vsmithpots Hi. Okay, so how much do you charge for one of the mugs with the horses, please, plus postage. Thank you for getting back to me.

@Vaughan Smith Hi. Thank you. I was expecting it to be so much more expensive. I'm going to order one, possibly rwo. My children want to buy it/them for me for Mother's Day, which here in Australia is 14th May. It's okay that I have to wait 9 weeks. Thank you again. I'll be in touch with my order as soon as possible. Carolyn Pollack.

Enjoyably inspiring as always. What is the light green glaze on the horse coffee mugs? Do you have a slip recipe for Cone 6?
@Vsmithpots Жыл бұрын
It is a slip with mason stain. Try Robin Hoppers recipe for slip, the one I use is cone 4 but he has one for higher temperatures. I have never mixed it up.

Amazing Vaughn!! Just incredible. May I ask, are your pieces vitrified if you only fired the pots to cone 4 and it’s BMix 5?
@Vsmithpots Жыл бұрын
I have done this for 36 years so I guess it has worked out fine. I do a soak for 20 minutes so it is probably close to a cone 5.
@micheledickey4066 Жыл бұрын
@@Vsmithpots I’m just asking because I have tried firing to cone 5 with BMix and if it is just under a cone 5 the pots weep. I learned the hard way to not test them for vitrification and try and re fire right away!!!

@@micheledickey4066 Because I fire on stilts the bottom is glazed too.

I love your carved work, well everything. I have a question that’s bit off topic, what do you use to sign your pieces? Is it a special pen?
